Here in North Carolina we have Cheerwine -- I'm assuming that's the same as Big Red (or similar). My daughter loves Cheerwine and wants to take a case with her to college because they don't have it in Pennsylvania where she's going in the fall!

I'll have to get a can of diet Cheerwine and try it in a shake -- it sounds good!

edited because I messed up the quotes from Arklahoma's post about Big Red being a southern drink...

For a happier kitchen experience...when mixing shake powder wtth diet pop...add about four ounces of the pop in the blender or Magic Bullet. Add the shake mix, blend it slowly and gradually increase the speed and add crushed iced. Whirl and add more pop and ice.

Do Not, repeat, DO NOT shake it in a shaker jar...you'll have explode-a-pop! Not fun to clean up either...
Nothing tastes as good as thin feels...

Ooooo...I used to be a HUGE Big Red addict! LOVE the stuff!
I'll have to try this.

Oh no Jen...not the the cinnamon gum at all. This is ummm....well....it's hard to describe. The taste almost kind of reminds me of the smell of a certain fruity bubble gum...but I don't know which one.

It's FAB!!!!

All I've ever known is H.E.B. grocery stores. It's really weird for me to hear someone ask what it is.

Yes, the taste is hard to describe. That is why they are having a "describe the taste" contest. Great stuff, though.

Trust me, When I heard you were in Amarillo I totally considered asking you. Big Red Ltd. will only ship out one case per three months and I'm completely out. :x I mean, how could they do this to me?

Anyway, I'm working on a couple of leads and if it doesn't pan out then I'm totally gonna mooch off you (if you let me)

OK, I bought a big bottle to try, but it's chilling right now. My brother's visiting and he's intrigued, too.
