Did I goof?

Postby Prancer » July 27th, 2006, 7:24 pm

I was just fiddling around on the medifast site looking at the nutricianal info for the products. They have an approved veggie list so I looked at it. (I keep the laptop open at night to keep busy so I dont snack) ANYWAY, it says mushrooms are ok on top of a salad. I ate my whole veg serving tonight in mushrooms. I cook fresh ones on the stove with some spray and garlic. Did I screw up? My total calories for today (according to mymedifast) were 711 with the mushrooms.

I don't think so. I have seen lots of people eat lots of mushrooms on here. I LOVE mushrooms, but they make me "go" a lot!! Manly eats a lot of mushrooms. They must not have the same effect on him though, because he is still soooo full of s#!t! Kidding Manly!! You know we love ya!

I eat at least a cup of mushrooms every night. I've asked the nutritionist about it, and I've been told that they are perfectly fine.

Are you sure you are looking at the most recent Quick Start Guide? The one on medifast's official site doesn't say anything about them only being used in moderation.

I was at the medifast site and there is a section where you can get downloads and one of them was a veg list. I didnt look in my quick start.

The Quick Start guide on their site doesn't have any stipulations on mushrooms. I don't know where you were looking, but that is old information.

It is the same place. Under tools and community, on the right I click on downloads then there is a long list of downloads. Futher down from the new quick start guide just before Medifast recipes. Under sample meal plans it has one that you can click on that says vegetable list.

I am glad too that all of you like mushrooms. I am the only one in my family that will eat them. None of our friends will either. I love them. Chicken Marsala used to be my favorite meal to eat out and Mushrooms are my favorite pizza topping.

I am so happy mushrooms make you happy! :D

They make me want to gag and they remind me of chewing on rubber. :nonono:

My husband's mom is a gourmet cook - many varieties but alot of Italian food (his Dad is Italian!), She makes delicious things, but DH grew up having sauteed mushrooms with all kinds of yummy stuff in them, and I tried making them for him when we were first married and had to leave the kitchen and have him go for it alone! Faint on the floor! :help:

Truly happy for you but I'd throw up--hey, there is a way to lose weight! JUST KIDDING!!!!
