Thanks, Erica!
I was going to sprinkle hugs and well wishes, but it's just a little overwhelming. So, to all those who wander through, feel free to help yourself to a cyberhug or hi, whichever suits you best (hugs in the basket on the left, hi's in the basket on the right).
Swamped. Simply swamped.
Thanks to hard work on the part of our team, Mike and I are now Regional Executive Directors with Take Shape for Life. Boy, do I love this work! And we certainly couldn't have done it without guidance and support from Terry and Nancy.
That's not the swamped part, though. That's actually the FUN part! That part feels like dessert!
School and school and more school. The good news is that something magical happened over winter break and my kids are better behaved -- those of you in education know what I'm talking about. (Also, keep in mind I've got a class that runs off most subs and are frequent fliers on the suspension list.) Some years it's a bigger difference than others. THIS year, they feel like a different class!! We're actually having a good time! There are some things we've had to change, which equals more work on my part, but it's paying off.
The district level stuff is getting hot and hairy. Compliance issues, mandates, lost inventory components, mid-year budget adjustments, our director quit, computer snafus, etc etc ech! At least I'm only over the 4 middle schools.
I wish a) I read faster, b) I had more time for the forum, c) we could all meet for coffee and enjoy the benefits of face-to-face conversation, d) world peace. (had to)
btw, if you're not already doing so, get on the Nurse's and Maintenance calls -- they're awesome sources of support and information. My fav, of course, is the 3rd Wednesday of the month when our own dear Leopard Woman hosts. ALWAYS inspiring and encouraging.
Hugs all 'round. (Except those of you'd prefer a simple hi, of course)
Here's to our mutual success!
