I hope you didn't spend too much on a colon cleanse because you can buy the stuff over the counter at CVS that they give people before a colonoscopy. I had a Rx for mine but when my husband had his he just bought this box that had all the directions from CVS. It's in the laxative aisle. It totally works because you colon has to be totally empty for the test to work.

Hi

Postby dede4wd » May 23rd, 2007, 1:45 pm

So,
I got on the scale and adjusted my ticker. I know I said I wasn't going to get on, but I HAD to! It's down, so that's good. I'm not getting back on until I leave next Tuesday morning!

I tried the 2nd Hip Hop Abs DVD today...I know some of the moves now and I'm not such a total klutz, so I like the "total body burn" better than I like the Cardio. I'm trying my best to stick to it every day!

Hi

Postby dede4wd » May 27th, 2007, 6:16 pm

Well, I've been doing good on the program and am down 2.6lbs for the week. I am disappointed in myself because I just can't MAKE myself do my hip hop abs OR my pilates tapes. I need a drill sergeant! Will somebody please PM me daily and SHAME me into doing my tapes until I make it a habit? I KNOW when I make it a habit, I'll be okay, but I decided to clean my closet out instead...I seem to be thinking of ANYTHING to do except the tapes! I KNOW I need to and I feel so stupid! I need toning more than anything right now...and I just can't motivate myself! I've tried reading the journals of people who exercise regularly and that motivates me to a point.

Anyone willing to apply for the needed nag/drill sergeant position, please feel free!

i can motivate you.

get naked.
stand in front of full length mirror.
look at yourself until you realize that you are an attractive woman....

THEN...

turn around.
look at your reflection over your shoulder.
jump up and down.
gasp in horror.
jump up and down again.

now get to work.

Hi Dede,

I saw the hip hop abs guy on QVC sometime the week before last. I'm not sure I can do all the moves in the correct way to burn most effectively. I hope you tried the workout again today or that you did pilates. Either way, keep moving in the right direction :)

I think I'm going to start the couch to 5k plan today. I've always wanted to go for jogs.

Hope you're having a great day!

!

Me too but need some sports bras. Usually I have to wear two over my regular bra. That was when I was thin. I would love to go along with my husband on his training.

Okay Alex, if that doesn't motivate me, nothing will!

I did NOT do the tapes today, but I DID swim for 45 minutes! I did pack my hip hop abs and my floor pilates tape to take with me, so WEDNESDAY, I WILL do one of them. I might get a walk in tomorrow, but I'm traveling until 11pm!

Thanks everyone!

Queenielou-They have a different DVD that shows you all of the moves in slow motion, showing you how to do them right. I'm a lot less clutzy than I was when I started. I just have to remember to allow myself a learning curve!
