Yep...i shoulda worded that a bit different.

Having a weight loss goal is fine, but should be part of a bigger picture.

I changed sooooo much with the last 20 pounds, dede. It was exponential because of the % of total body weight I lost. I went from a size 10 to a size 6 in the last 15 pounds. It really does make a big difference.

If you have chosen a realistic goal weight (I chose mine according to the bmi charts - I put myself right in the middle of "healthy weight"), then I think you will be pleased and maybe a little surprised how much difference that last 20 pounds makes.

Re: Suffering from "good enough"

Just wondering...is anyone else suffering from "good enough syndrome"? I have 20 or so lbs to go and I look back to where I was compared to where I am and I'm starting to think...I look okay, isn't this good enough?

I KNOW I will push on to goal because I MUST see it! I will then transition right but I have this argument with the five-year old in my head that this is good enough, I've done so well. I beat the voice down and tell it good enough is never good enough for me and I know it...but I'm just fighting it so much more than I was at this point last time!

How do the rest of you with not much left to go deal with it or are you not experiencing it?

DeDe

That's me in a nutshell. I got really comfortable at the weight I was at, so I got too comfortable and got out of the weightloss mode. So now I am still working to get to the finish line. I need that sense of accomplishment of seeing the numbers.

Keep up the great work Dede!!

Thanks Kanani, let's just finish this!

I'm at 169.2 today...was hoping for better, with both of my mini-goals so close, but I definitely realize that my body moves at it's own pace. I have to go all week with no bars though because I left them with my gear in CA! Maybe that'll help!

Doing well, plugging along, over my "good-enough-itis" and know how much I want to and need to see goal. Heading there now!
