- Hi Kids ~
Since you mentioned rings...one time I was visiting the sandbox and my ring slipped right off my finger and into the toidy...if I hadn't heard it fall, I'dda flushed that ring right down the tube! Yikes!
Hey, Frankiej when that 'fake' gets too loose, send it to moi! I still have long fingers and toes. I'll gladly wear it on Thumbkin.
Dang! Science Guy, you wear a smaller shoe size?
After dumping 135 pounds, I still wear a size 11 shoe - they are narrower but still l-o-n-g. I went to visit one of our clients at the hospital this afternoon and her husband accused me of wearing Clyde Drexler's boots!
It is important to eat on time – do not go more than 3.5 hours, especially in the beginning. When your blood sugar drops too low, it makes ya cwazy and more likely to fall off the plan. It is really important to space your meals out evenly, to never skip a meal and be well-hydrated at all times.
There are a lot of posts about what to do when you go out for dinner or have food-oriented events, just dig around and you will find lots of creative ideas.
Sometimes in the beginning of the program, it is hard to know what to tell people. It is truly an individual thing – some folks loudly announce they are on a weight loss program and order a program-compliant meal with ease.
When I started on the program, I was determined to not fail and yet did not want to reveal to others that I was on a weight loss program because I was embarrassed about all my former failures.
Initially I told others that I had a health issue and was under strict medical supervision and could not deviate. When asked what was wrong, I just looked them directly in the eye and said I do not wish to discuss it. This was REALLY hard for me – I am not what others would describe as ‘assertive.’ Eventually I began to tell others but initially I avoided social engagements for the first 6 or 7 weeks and then I continued to keep it to myself except for close friends.
I told inquiring minds that I had already eaten and had tea or coffee while they dined.
You are making great progress and we are happy to have you onboard.
