Day #1

Postby Holsapple Shepherds » June 13th, 2005, 5:12 am

:D Good morning folks! It is 7:00 a.m. here in Indiana and I've had my first Dutch Choc. meal replacement. I did not mind it at all :-P I've tried so many other diets and have failed  I'm a mother of 2 children ages 4 & 7 and a wife a wonderful husband and I want to be healthier not only for myself but for them as well.

I do have a small typo error in my user name. I'm hoping that Nancy or Terry can fix it for me. I've tried going to the profile and I could not change it. Anyway it should be Holsapple Shepherds. I'd appreciate the change. If the account needs to be terminated and me sighn up again that okay.

Welcome, HS! This is the first diet I've been able to stick to for longer than a month in about 20 years. It does work! You might be hungry for the first couple of days, but after that you will adjust. Some folks even have to remind themselves to eat! Happy shakin!

hi holsapple sheperds :D

welcome to the board! ive only been doing this for a little over a month, so i am no expert BUT i think this forum is an integral part of my success. im glad you came here and you will  the people, the tips and inspiration you will find.

good luck with the first couple of days, as kassilou said those are the most difficult, just because your body is getting adjusted. then the hunger subsides significantly and you will feel GREAT

good luck!

Welcome! H.Apples!

Congratulations!!! Starting the MF program has been one of the best things I've ever done. I'm a newbie, too... Today is my 13th day and I've lost 9lbs! Whoo hoo!!!

Welcome & you can do it! This forum is a great place for support!

Don't forget about your snacks... Pickles, celery, fast soups... They helped me soo much the first 3 days!

Welcome!!
Come here often for support, it really helps. If you have questions you can always get answers here and of course from your Health Adviser. Check out the recipes and have fun! I think you'll be surprised how easy this is, but like everybody says not until you get through those first 3 days. Congratulations on finding Medifast and this forum! :D :D

Hi HS. I love the chocolate shakes. My favorite thing to do with them is mix them with a bit less water, I use 6 oz. instead of 8, and it is just so much thicker and creamier........like a rich chocolate shake! It's a bit less volume, but always fills me up just as well as the 8 oz.

End of Day #1

Postby Holsapple Shepherds » June 13th, 2005, 7:39 pm

:exercise: Well I've survived day one!!! It was not to bad! I appreciate everyones encouragement. :) Thanks for all the tips too. My last shake tonight was the French Vanilla and I added a bit of banana extract to it and it was quite good. I'll let you know how I did on day #2 tomorrow night.
