Day #3 Over & I'm doing good!

Postby KTown » July 18th, 2006, 8:43 pm

I just finished day #3 and I can say it was a heck of a lot easier than the first too days. Actually, today I found myself having to remind myself to eat, whereas yesterday I was ready to gnaw on my own arm.

The food isn’t that bad. I think it’s safe to say it’s not great…but it’s not all that bad either. I love the soup, chili, chocolate shake…oh and I had a cappuccino tonight, which I liked. What I’m not too found of is the oatmeal (which has a heavy saccharin taste) and the Orange Shake.

What am I craving – surprisingly fruit. I want an apple, cherries, peach. I suppose this isn’t bad at least I’m not craving the normal garbage I eat.

FINALLY, I must admit I jumped on the scale this morning. Two days = Two pounds. That’s all I need to keep going!

Sounds like you're in ketosis, if you're no longer hungry. Great, isn't it?

And the food gets better as you get used to it. Your tastes will probably change, too, so you'll find yourself liking some of the things you don't like right now.

I don't think there's any saccharine in the oatmeal, so whatever you're tasting, I doubt that's it. (You might try adding some extra cinnamon, though. It makes it taste much better.)

Hi There,
You're doing great. It does get easier. You can get yourself some s/f davinci green apple syrup, soak some celery (sliced thin) and it tastes almost like an apple. I also use the s/f davinci fruit flavors to flavor up a few things. I add peach to the peach tea, raspberry to the raspberry tea and lots of different flavors to the cranberry mango. I love fruit too!!
Just remember be very compliant and you'll be parting with those pesky pounds.

Way to go!
I, too, was eyeing the fruit the last couple days as I fixed big, red stawberries and juicy, sweet oranges for my kids--I had a peach crystal light iced tea and it taseted great! I also repeat the mantra that everyone hear does-
"NOTHING tastes as good as THIN FEELS!
You are on your way!

Way to go!! Sounds like you have things under control. About those Orange Shakes....I mix them with 16 oz. of Water and throw in one of those Crystal Light Lemonade to Go Packets. Tarts things right up and makes it quite yummy. I do the same with the Strawberry Shakes. Also gives you twice as much liquid which fills you up.

Hi, it is all uphill from here, for feeling absolutely great from now on. And, downhill, with all the pounds you will lose, as you head down toward your goals you will set for yourself. Good for you!! :D

Good job. Try cinammon and a packet of Splenda in your oatmeal. It's quite good.
