Day One for Me!!!

Postby gr8views » November 6th, 2004, 8:35 am

Here we go...

Just had my first MF/Coffee concoction, thanks to a message on the cuisine forum. Yum, Yum! Like my own special Starbucks latte...

Now I'm drinking my first tall glass of water for the day.

I started my journal about my MF journey yesterday, including a list of reasons to lose weight. I've printed a calendar for the next 6 months, noting holidays () and scheduling weigh-ins on Sundays.

Luna and Julia, Let's keep in touch and encourage each other. I'm excited that there are 3 of us starting at the same time. We'll all get to 'Thinsville' and celebrate together. I hope we can be MF Buddies through all of this!

:3head: are better than one!

Just a quick update...

Postby gr8views » November 6th, 2004, 6:40 pm

I've just about made it through my first day. The food has been good. I had a bit of trouble with diarrhea, but keep looking forward to see that I'll make it out of this temporary state.

Tomorrow many of you weigh in. I'm sending good thoughts your way! Hoping that many pounds are lost forever!

You guys are on your way! Congratulations on great starts! The diahrea stuff DOES go away... took about 4 days for me... The hunger goes away too in about the same amount of time, and a big surprise for me is that over a little more time, a few weeks, the actual CRAVINGS go away for the most part too. Sure, there's things I still "want", but I generally don't have any cravings anymore! Unexpected, and wonderful, side effect! :)

Glad to hear...

... that I may only have a couple more days of the 'diarrhea dash'! (love that phrase, LW!) It's still with me today, but I've got hope that I'm losing weight because of it!

So far the cravings haven't been too much of a problem. I had a couple of small pickles and a couple of cups of hot bouillon yesterday. I'm in it for the salt! Even seeing Rob (mi esposo) eating pasta, quesadillas and ice cream didn't phase me. That was a HUGE surprise.

I keep coming back here to read about everyone's successes and challenges. This forum gives me great hope that I can do this because others have done it!

Thanks for the words of encouragement!

That's right! With the company's nearly twenty-five years of success behind us, my 28 months of success behind me, you can know that you are not entering 'No Person's Land!'

You go not where anyone has failed to tread.

You are not alone. You have the MakeMeThinner Forum Family walking right along beside you!

Good for you on your first day Dianne :D . There is strength in numbers and I am grateful to have this place to come to and so far it has been the biggest inspiration to me. Today is day 4 for me and I am starting to get the hang of it. I love the coffee shake yea :chef: , I will remember the pickles when I want something salty.
Peace & Blessings,
Alicia

Alicia,

Glad to hear that you are getting into what I call the Medigroove. As each day passes, you become stronger and that success helps you to keep going. Wow! You are off and running! :runner:
