Day One Almost Done- 2 boullions?

Postby StrivingSister » February 18th, 2006, 5:49 pm

Okay, I had:

water
7:30am M&BS oatmeal (tasted ok)
water
water
1030 orange shake (tasted ok)
water
1:30 cream of chicken (ABSOLUTELY LOVED it)
water
4:00 chicken boullion
4:30 caramel nut bar (LOVED it)
water
7:00 5oz. beef/lamb and brocolli (YUM); 3/4 can of 5 cal MM lemonande (HATED it)

one more meal to go! Looking at my great stock, I think I'll go with the chocolate pudding!

I really need to get a scale, b/c I'm not positive about the meat weight. I Honestly erred on the conservative side and used the "deck of cards" reference from the Quick Start guide. Hopefully I'll get out tmrw.

I felt good that while my husband was preparing his meat in his way, he all but shoved it down my throat and I adamantly refused! oooooooohhhh but the SMELL!! I can do this, I can do this!!

How I feel physically: a bit tired. I took two seperate 1 hour naps today. I felt really hungry around 4, so I did the boullion, then I had the bar. I was really hungry at around 6pm, however this coincided with my husband cooking his famous beef/lamb, so I'm sure that had something to do with it. I have a mild-moderate headache that I took Tylenol for - it's starting to kick in.

I have a feeling I may be hungry again, so I will likely do another boullion - actually, is that allowed? The chicken boullion I have has 10 cals per tsp, so is that okay? Is it okay to have a serving of MF crakers with it? Or am I over-doing it? I see the other posts about boullion but I am still confused :? ....sorry if this is repetitive! I Really do read, really!

Okay, time for water!

You are doing really well! The first few days are the roughest. I am really a stickler to sticking to the Quick Start Guide but I really don't think you are going to hurt anything by having another cup of bouillon and the Medifast crackers if you are really hungry. You may want to try just the bouillon first and see if that does the trick though. I have even heard of people adding an extra shake the first few days if they need to. Don't sweat the small stuff you are doing excellent!!!

Between you and me I don't think you need to worry too very much about the 5cal lemonade :secret: You are going to do great and I can tell by the way that you are here asking questions and making sure you get it right!

Man you have some serious willpower goin on there girl..I mean I would have had to mangle hubby for a stunt like that. lol ;)

You did great!! Little tip with the puddings make them a bit ahead of time and put them in the fridge...taste like "regular" pudding to me.

Hugs,
Gina

Thanks so much for that advice, Gina :-P

I actually didn't realize that the puddings have to chill in the fridge before eating!!

Thanks again!

You're doing super!

Yeah, the headache can get to ya the first and second day - the bouillon and Tylenol will help. Drink plenty of water as it helps to wash away the headache, too. Go ahead with the 2nd bouillon if you need it or a shake is fine, too.

I was thinking the same thing as I read her post, Nancy.

Don't worry, SS, it gets much easier. A few more days and you'll be in the zone. Stick to it and you will do great!
