David Burke's Flavor Sprays

Postby mellowmom » March 28th, 2006, 3:27 pm

Are they legal on a Diabetic 5 and 1 program? I ordered some a month or so ago...before deciding to go on the Medifast Diet. They are listed as having zero calories, fat and carbs, 10 mg of sodium and zero protein?
Thanks for your help

Never even heard of that brand but I am interested to see what you find. It sounds like it should be okay, but I will let someone more educated answer that.

Here is a post concerning these sprays.

In a nut shell they are fine!

Parmesan Cheese

Postby mellowmom » March 28th, 2006, 3:43 pm

I did try the Parmesan Cheese spray on my LG and it was pretty good. Definitely had the olfactory buds turned on and there was just a hint of the Parmesan Cheesy taste on my salad.

I just placed an order for four bottles. I'm a sucker for stuff like this, so I'll see how it is. I don't really use a lot of spices, so this may be something to add.

I got a bottle each of teriyaki, memphis bbq, parmesan cheese, and birthday cake. Honestly, I can't think of a very good use for the birthday cake, but I thought that it might not be too bad in a vanilla shake. We'll see.

Can you find these types of things in the grocery store? Which aisle are they usually in?

Nah, Gotta order them on-line. I finally have some money, so I am gonna give it a try. SOme look nasty, but I will try out a few.

Yeah, birthday cake might be good in vanilla or chocolate frozen-y shakes or pudding flavors. Kinda like cake and ice cream

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. I wonder if they will retain the taste after a "shake" though. I guess I'll just have to play around with it.

Will you guys post after you've tried 'em? Most don't sound all that interesting to me, but anything cheesy would be nice to have.

Never mind. Of COURSE I just went ahead and ordered some to try. I'm a sucker for this kind of stuff, too.

Hmmmm, maybe shake and blend it up and then at the very end before letting it harden fully add it in.

Good experiment though. I was going to order some and I am confused about some specials, so hopefully I get some feedback from them....oops just did

I swear I am dumb. I wrote to them and say the following:

Please advise:

The description says that the package includes all 22 flavors plus the 4 fruit flavors thrown in free.

Perhaps my math is off, but I count 33 flavors even when the 4 fruit flavors are excluded from the count.

Which 22 are the ones that are included? I would like to know before I order. Thanks

They respond:

All flavors are included.

Thank you.

Customer Service

So, I ask....Is it me? Am I missing something in the answer. I wrote back for clarification to see if the item description is wrong, but I will have to wait and see.

Maybe they just combine all 33 flavors in 22 bottles so it is always like Christmas and a big surprise!!

mmmmm.....garlic birthday cake!

hahaha...lets us know how it works out, will you? I'm curious about how this whole flavor spray business works. Ive been looking for the "I cant believe its not a pound of chocolate" spray in my grocers aisle for a verrrry long time!
