Okay...Food Police stepping in here again...

re:
I scarfed down my salad and chicken, 1/2 can of diet pop, cup of hot tea and my mf bar.

I hope that you did not have the Lean and Green AND a Medifast MEAL BAR at the same time, didja? Huh?

Each and every Medifast product - except for Mediast Fast Soup, Medifast crackers, Medifast Salad dressings and the Essential 1s are complete meals all by themselves.

Thus, if you eat a MEAL bar AND chicken/salad you just ate TWO meals at one sitting. We are learning about portion size and meal timing.

Now if you are using MF merely for its nutritional value, for weight management or for an occasional weight loss week to lose just a few pounds, then you may consider having a shake and a bar or soup and pudding but for the 5 and 1 weight loss program, huh uh, nope...

Good morning all!

Day one completed, totally MF. How many of you had to go to bed early in the beginning to stop the evening binge?...Beth

Dear Mind ~

I had my jammies on at 4:30 for a week! :snooze:

Just you wait :felix:

Hi all -

Postby Kim » January 7th, 2005, 10:59 pm

Well, today was an ok day. I was "compliant" and still need to do one more mf supplement before bed - as it's 10pm now. I went out to a local hangout with friends tonight. They had dinner and drinks - but I had my salad before I left and diet pepsi and water - so I was proud that I didn't decide to eat or have some wine. That's a step!

I am looking forward to Sunday for the official 1st week weigh in..I'll be spending all day tomorrow and Sunday writing a paper for school. I certainly won't be going outside as it's been snowing ALL DAY and is expected to snow ALL NIGHT!! (I am not a snow person - yuck!)

Hope you all had a good day and have nice weekend.

Kim, you get an A+ for passing the social test with friends - your resolve was well worth it, as you must feel good that you stuck with your plan.

Others may have only dreamed of a white Christmas, you are currently experiencing a white New Year! Just think - when spring and summer finally arrive, you will experience the REAL THIN thing because of the choices you are making now!

Well - I'm hoping the snow goes away well before then as I have to drive in it for work and I don't like it!! I get very grouchy in this kind of weather...I think I need to go into hibernation...my family would probably appeciate it... :x

Hey All...
about the "going to bed early".....I chuckled when I saw what Nancy wrote...she was in her PJ's at 4:30...I think I have her beat!! when I first started medifast...on my days off..I was in my PJ's at 4pm...to watch oprah..then my line up of TV...then to read and drink my water...and feel as if the day were going to end soon so I WOULDNT be tempted to binge/eat stuff off my plan!! :)
I think we all sometimes have hard days and are just ready for the day to end...so the eating does too!!

and about the SNOW...Im in Mass. and let me tell ya..we just got done shoveling from the last storm the other day..and now its snowing right now...I worked my shift the last snow storm..and let me tell ya..there is NOTHING like peeking out the window...or going out on a call at 4am..when the snow is UNTOUCHED everywhere..and its sparkling under the street lights...I LOVE THAT!! its so beautiful!! that part is good..the shoveling and mess after isnt fun..but IT BURNS CALORIES!! :)

HAPPY SHAKIN EVERYONE!!
Tami

I know what you mean Tam.

I live over a river valley in beautiful Alaska and can see the volcanoes and ocean too. Right now we have a hoares frost on all the trees and it is so gorgeous. Also have moose just below the house laying down.

And to think, I wanted to move to the tropics! :uhuh:
Where would I go for vacation?!

isabelle, nice to meet you.
Your area of the country sounds absolutely gorgeous! I hope to someday take a long train ride through the northern states, out to the North West and on into Alaska...

Hi, izabelle ~

I am happy to get to know more about you. You are blessed to have such a beautiful landscape. Moose, huh? We have 9 squirrels and a pondful of koi. You may have hoary frost (which IS beautiful!), we have rain. Dark, gloomy, dreary days but that means green springs, summers and falls!

Fellow Medifasters and Medifasterettes, isn't it way cool how we have Forum Friends from all over the country participating and sharing their lives with us?

I just added a client from Bermuda and have two in Korea. LongWay2Go was trying to get up a MakeMeThinner group reunion/meeting.

Oh, yeah - Brian and Krissie are having the MakeMeThinner pool party this summer in southern CA. When everybody gets ready to do a MakeMeThinner Forum Family vacation tour - we can really see the world! Sheesh! We'll need a really big family truckster, eh? Now I do not mean a BIG truckster but a truckster that holds a lot of thinner passengers! :veedub:

I am on the eve of taking off for Las Vegas to visit with Explorthis and LongWay2Go in Las Vegas and I am just so :cheerleader: excited that I didn't get to bed until 3:15 AM!

I was hoping to meet Shineface and Tami when I was in Baltimore in December. :tears: Boo Hoo! It was fabulous when we met RavenKat and NE Gal in south. It was our delight to meet HawaiiWhatNot :ukulele: in Honolulu when we passed through the airport.

:scratchhead: This just reminds me, even though we are in the middle of winter, snow and frost in some areas, the sun is shining in Florida, California and other areas of the country. :shades: Spring and summer will come before you know it - will your body be ready for bathing suit and short exposure?

:water: Grab that water bottle and suck it down! Shake and slurp those shakes down, avoid living in sweatpants this summer by doing the right things now! :shades:
