katie, you know there is no need to apologize about the hijack! Hey, i do it all the time, besides it gives me more to read in my journal. BTW, does your scale memorize the your last weight? I saw one that does but that's not the one i got. The one i saw that memorized the weight didn't compute hydration level and bone density so i decided on mine. However, now i see that my hydration level doesn't fluctuate very much and i'm not even sure what my bone density is SUPPOSED to be, so that number is useless to me  Actually, i'm not sure what my hydration level is supposed to be either but i know it aways stays between 50-52 so i guess that's normal for me. I drink plenty of water but even when my water intake is lower, the number doesn't change very much.

Cyd, what does your scale say for your hydration level? WTG with the ring being too big now! I know it has to be a wonderful feeling. Although i am divorced, I have tried my rings on for size and they just spin all around my left hand. They fit my right hand (which they never used to do) and actually, they are a little big there too. I have worn them on my right hand from time to time (just because i love the rings, not the man! :roflmao: )

Ok guys, now on to my walking...Last night i went on the 2 mile walk (with pedometer) and it said that i had only gone about 1900 steps. This didn't seem right to me so i had to look it up (on the internet) when i got home. Everyone says that 1 mi is approximately 2000 steps so i figured something had to be wrong Ok, so this morning i realized that the battery is now dead in that pedometer. Well i switched peds this morning and went on a 3 mi walk  When i got home, it said 5880, which would be about right for 2000 steps per mi. Well, i feel great having logged 5 miles in 2 days so far. I would like to take the 3 mi route again sometime this evening but i might have to go by myself ~ which isn't fun ~ my neighbor went with me this morning. She is very overweight but she cant stomach MF meals (just can't stand the taste and won't give her tastebuds a chance to change). I have been trying to work with her on changing her diet and she is actually doing very well. Anywho, i am about to go have a shake and continue with my day. Lots of laundry and running around. In a perfect world, i would get in the rest of my cleaning too. Jeez, i have been so busy, i haven't vacuumed in a week. Forget dusting! At least the bathrooms are clean (thanks sonny boy! :D ) Well i'm gonna try to catch up here a little then head out. Hope everyone has a great weekend!

OMGosh, how crazy am I? Here i am telling katie that there is no need to apologize about the hijack, then i go on a long story about myself. All because i think i am posting in MY journal. I didn't even realize it until i came back in and saw that there was not a new post in my journal! Ok, now I have to apologize about the hijack!

That just cracked me up. I figured that was what was going on (that you thought you were in your own journal), but still.

It cracked me up too! I rather enjoy the confusion! lol

I got my fresh order of MF over the weekend. I tried my first ever vanilla shake and it was excellent...but I doubt anything will ever steal the place the chocolate shakes hold in my heart. I love those chocolate shakes! I ordered some Momentum flavor infusers this month, too, and I've had a couple of the mixed berry. They are delicious! We'll see how they help out. Once again I think I'm not looking at a huge loss this week. Progress is progress, so I'm happy...especially because I have hit and/or am on the verge of hitting some really great milestones this week, but I would not mind if the Momentum can help pick up the loss a bit. I am so motivated and have been 100% compliant for the entire first four weeks and right now I'm feeling like I'd love to be rewarded with some big losses in the next couple of weeks.

Well, we went to visit the jeweler and brought my ring along. He suggested holding off on resizing until my weight regulates more. I suppose that may mean wearing it on my middle finger or my right hand for a while, but it does make sense to avoid excessive resizing. It was sort of a nuisance to learn that my ring won't fit when I finally get it "officially," but on the other hand it feels good that it will be because it's too big, not too small...especially considering 4 weeks ago it fit perfectly.

The next few weeks before Memorial Day weekend are going to be a little tough so I am focusing on my weight loss and health improvements to keep my spirits up. I will be surprised if I don't end up at the gym a lot pounding out as much stress as possible on the treadmill. Mike's baseball coaching schedule is extremely hectic the next few weeks and I have a girlfriend's bridal shower I am planning so it's going to keep us apart a lot more than usual, which is always disheartening. Oh well. I am just focusing on staying strong. In a couple of months the majority of my weight loss journey will finally be over and Mike and I will finally be in one location. Stress or no stress, I cannot wait.

cant the jeweler just fit you for a ring guard until your final sizing? I think that would be better than wearing it on your middle finger. But then again, that's the opinion of one chick that posted stuff in YOUR journal thinking it was HERS...maybe the middle finger is looking better and better. <img src="http://kiw.imgag.com/imgag/product/thumbs/3105544a.gif">

The ring guard concept actually makes a lot of sense. Not sure why that didn't cross my mind yet! I will have to look into that. Thanks!:D

Where do I sign up to be an official MF success story? Does anybody know how I get myself into People's Half Their Size
issue? Weeks like this past week leave me 100% confident that I am going to have finished this weight loss journey before I know it, crossing the finish line with a big grin plastered across my face. My only regret is not coming back to MF sooner!

In 4 weeks I have lost 18.2lbs. I am officially joining the ranks in the 80# Club. I have hit the 180s...something I have been struggling to do for months. To top it all off, less than 20lbs from now I will have lost a whopping 100lbs! That is a milestone I cannot wait to reach and now that it is so close I am charging full steam ahead to get there as soon as possible. I have come so far from when I started this journey. When I was 271lbs wearing a size 22, making it to the 180s and a size 14 seemed impossible. I mean, technically, I am not in 14s yet as I haven't bought any, but most of my 16s are decidedly very lose so I will likely be shopping this week so I figure that counts. lol

All in all, I hope everyone struggling out there can just remember that ultimately, every loss counts. It is all cumulative. I have had weeks of supreme frustration when I only register a 2lb or 3lb loss, but each pound loss is a one pound we have less to lose. This week is a prime example. I lost 3lbs, but hit what I consider to be three major milestones...and 3lbs ago that was not the case. Every loss is worth celebrating...and I think this is a good reminder to myself that it truly is not a cop out to coach oneself to remember that a pound lost is a pound lost and not gained and that it is truly a big deal worthy of a pat on the back.

Ok, enough of the cheerleader routine. :D Hit the gym this morning for another 30 minute/2mile walk/jog and it was definitely a butt kicker. I am hoping to make it a few more mornings this week so I can really ramp up my cardio endurance again...I was kind of shocked at just how winded I was. I had to slow it down the last five minutes or so because I was starting to get a tad dizzy, which is unheard of for me, so I definitely packed an extra MF meal to get me through today. My lunch is a big leafy salad and broiled scallops that I cooked up last night in advance. I brought along some Momentum so I have some in the office for throughout the week. Other than that, I am just looking forward to next weigh-in! :D

Cyd, I would have been THRILLED to lose 3 pounds in one week when I was on program! You're doing great, and even though it may SEEM slow, that isn't slow at all.

With the workouts, you might also try the 70 shakes instead of the 55s; they have more protein, which might help. And be careful not to overdo it.

Robin, Is there a different taste on the shakes. I love the choc 55's and I was thinking of doing the 70's because I am starting exercise.

Thank you, ladies, for chiming in today. Success is so much sweeter when it can be shared with people who know where I'm coming from and that is why I am here. This forum was invaluable my first time around with MF and I am committed to sticking around once I hit maintenance to share as much support as I can.

Looking at me, planning for maintenance like it's coming up soon. lol My next little milestone will be getting under 40lbs until goal. Like the 190s and the 20-something pounds until 100lbs lost, the 40-something pounds until goal has been a thorn in my side. That will be the next number to drop and will further cement the progress I am making. I cannot wait!

I haven't had either shake in ages, so I can't say for sure, but I'm pretty sure they taste exactly the same. Mike would know, cause I know he drinks the 70s. Lauren probably does, too.

And Cyd, it's never too early to start thinking about maintenance.

So you like the vanilla shakes huh. I used to. I can't seem to start my day off without my dutch chocolate shake.

I think it's funny that you said you're already thinking about maint. land. I have been for ages it seems like (well, I guess when I play with the same weight over and over again it's taken me awhile to get anywhere). Anyway, my point is that I think it's great that you're thinking about maintaining. I have always thought that it would be pointless to go through all the effort of weight loss if I can't stay where I end up. People have told me before that I shouldn't worry about it yet but I do think about it daily. I don't want to think that when I get to my goal weight I can eat whatever I want.

well, gotta go figure out what I'm making the peps for dinner.
