Oh Maisy, between you, OC, and Jo smokin at 80 I've got tears in my eyes. Thanks for the chuckle first thing today!

As far as doctoring and tastes go...I don't doctor much of my stuff. When I started doing mf I wanted more 'food' types of mf (soups, oatmeal, bars...) I really only liked the vanilla and banana shakes. Could not STAND the choc shakes. Now I start most days with the dutch choc shake. And I'm not soo into the 'foods' anymore. Mostly just drinking going on here.

I guess my point is that my tastes totally changed. I couldn't make it through a day without a chix noodle soup when I started. I can't seem to force myself to eat it these days. And I guess I'm just too lazy to doctor my 'food'. I mean, if I like it just how it is why mess with that.\

Like OC said, you asked, you're going to get a zillion different thoughts. Keep shakin girlie!

You are just too funny girl, and yes... everyone is different... something about DNA or something I think. ;)

You should just be dumping those powdered eggs in your mouth followed by a bottle of water. And tell me, what's wrong with a few crunchy beans in your chili? You only have to get past about 6 of them! roflmao.gif Can yuu tell i am glad to be off of work and posting a little? I LOVE this place. icon_biggrin.gif

Well, given that I have had them crunchy, I'd rather live off of the memories ;) And on the beans, I think I remember Dr. A or someone talking about not wanting to visit the dentist, so cook them suckers.....
And... glad you are off work and posting....

YEA, I have a purpose. It's hard livin in my brain, it's always been a bit off. I have never dabbled in anything illegal, just a little Jose every once and again, my husband is constantly laughing at me saying he thinks I had a wild night in the 80's I don't recall and that I am a bit touched.

I actually just like to try to stay real and laugh when I can, just reading CNN headlines is enough to depress anyone, and face it, being FAT is D E P R E S S I N G , but it comes off better with a smile, laughing burns calories. You all are seeing a good side of me, good Lord you really don't want to hear me rant when I am angry...you will though :x :x

Till then we can have a good time, lose the weight and dream of the day Paris had saddlebags ....and Shakira a poochie stomach!

My hero is Robin Williams...he's a bit off too.... okay rambling, thank you for the compliment! Where is OC todays anyhow, darn slacker.....

Hey there. Just poppin in to say thanks for stoppin by my journal. I got all caught up on yours and I am thrilled to have you here.

I have lost 80 pounds since Sept 21st with a slight break for my ankle surgery then another for what I will call - a lapse in judgement. Anyhoo, I know it can be done and I am back on track for the other 80 to just melt away.

As for doctoring.... I have found that a half a pack of Crystal Light On the Go Lemonaide is a great addition to the Vanilla, Banana, and Orange Shakes. It makes them taste like a sherbert. I add bullion cubes to all my chicken soups and what a great different that makes. In addtion, I prefer my Hot Cocoa and my Cappuccino cold rather than hot. Go figure. The puddings are best for me if I use my Magic Bullet to mix them and add a smidge of non-fat (or regular if you need to add the fat based on your lean for the day) cream cheese for a smoother texture. Most of the time I put them in the freezer and make my own kind of ice cream out of them.

Your taste for things will change. I used to be able to down a pound of Hershey's Chocolate without any problems. When I was off plan I noticed that just a half a regular size bar was rich enough for me.

Thanks for the chuckles and your great attutude. I am here if you need anything. Just a PM away.

Hey Rodeo...so part of me getting older, I can't read your post with the Aqua lettering....it's weird it's like snow blindness, like it's too bright to read. BUT glad you came by, I will get hubby to translate for me later. I have the same problem with yellow or red on black. HATE IT. It must be your sunny personality shinning through!

LULU nice to meet you, a goal girl , COOL! I just had Quiznos salad, my local guy measures it all up and keeps it MF friendly. NUMMMY. I have been such a good girl. Today was Orange shake, Peach Oatmeal ( too runny) Beef Stew, Chicken and Wild Rice, I will finish with a shake. OH and I drank the wawa...heres the deal, I do not drink water, I am SO bad, had kidney problems, still did not drink, I have totally had no problem with it yet.

Now that there is speed I will spend the next few mornings reading journals and snooping. I am so glad I finally got on the ball and started shaking...with the exception of having to remind myself not to nibble it's all good. I wonder if I can goal by Dec. what a refreshing thought, it's New Year's and I don't have lose weight as a resolution...

off to dream world

Hi There,

I see you have about a million answers to the doctoring question. Like everyone says, your tastes will change. Mine have changed around several times, also depends on the weather...but hey, lots of things about me depends on the weather!

I find if I don't like something now if I just put it in the back of the cupboard I will probably like it in a couple months.

As far as a date with Jose...what a shame he is off limits! However, when I was in Mexico I sampled quite a lot of that stuff...heck, 2 isles of the grocery store are tequila! My kind of store!
Reached Goal Nov 2007 61.5 lbs lost
Gained 11 lbs in Mexico 3/08, decided to lose that along with another 5 lbs!

I struggled too. Oh, please don't tell me that my eyes are gettin old! I had to laugh because snow blindness described it perfectly! Sorry bren, not picking on ya, just laughing at the situation.

I see lil' lulu stopped on in. lulu! glad to have you back with us. Now back to maisy...all this kidney stuff i'm hearin. You guys HAVE GOT TO BE CAREFUL. For personal reasons, the mention of kidney disease SCARES the stuffing outta me. But i'm glad to know you drank your water today! Keep it up.

POOP

It has come the time to discuss poop...those of you not wishing to read or otherwise about poop..skip this. Anyone responding, please add POOP to your entry at top to warn others we will talk about poop. Poop is not a nice subject.

Okay so here goes, or not goes as the case may be. not always te regulary chicky to the outhouse, so I already firmly believed I have pounds o'waste in my innerds. Day 3 MF have not pooped...PM OC to say HEY what to do, decided I could not wait and took doctors advice.

Doc's advice is 2 TEA yes TEAsppons SEA salt and 1 quart of lukewarm water...chug it down and wait...

This is where we are
:eyecrazy: :eyecrazy:
:whattha: :whattha: :eyecrazy: :eyecrazy: Yep thats my eyeballs bugging out of my head. MAN THAT is NOT NICE...and to think I made my 6 year old do that when he had problems, correction the doctor MADE me do it...BAD MOM BAD MOM... :eyecrazy:

I am typing cause it's the only way I think I will finish this nasty stuff...

okay I am done...Okay heres the snoop, after 1 hour you should poop...wow a rhyme. Wonder if the salt will make me retain for next few days, think I will up the wawa.

Reality, do most of you find yourselves regular or not on MF? For those brave enough to read, I will let ya know if it works. Doc if you are treading, I kicking you in arse the next time I see you . What kind of man goes into poop medicine anyhow????????????? I get baby doc, but why would anyone want to be a poop doc?

ok, i pm'd you right back this morning. You must not have seen it before you started injesting the atlantic ocean. I had the PERFECT solution for ya. I could have saved you a lot of gagging. I too have tried the sea salt and warm water, several times. Actually, it is part of the master cleanse. The first couple of times, it is kinda difficult to get down at one time. However, i wanna believe that the master cleanse version has 3 tbls of sea salt and 32 oz warm water. Anyhoo yes it cleans you out alright! just be near a toilet for most of the day (at least the next couple of hours). But to answer your last question, no sea salt and warm water does not cause water weight gain or affect your blood pressure. It has something to do with the salt being uniodized. It has the same weight as blood so your kidneys dont pick up the water and the blood does not pick up the salt ~ no water retention/no blood pressure effects.

Yeah the speed is like my colon right now...and no the salt has not kicked in, so I mean SLOW. Yesterday for a bit it was like bam you are there.

I laughed the Patron thing. Patron is an okay guy, but we Southerners are single minded, Jose is just special, I used to love him lots...now I find I can only love him once or twice a night. I can't figure that either. 20's I am skinny, 5-6-7 shots I can still throw kick butt darts. Now 2 shots and I am here honey are the keys, btw who are you????? Oh we've been married 10 years? Who knew!

Ok - so I changed the color of my post which, by the way even I couldn't read. Sorry bout that folks!

As for the colon issues. If it keeps up I suggest investing in a bottle of Miralax. It used to be a prescription med, but now is over the counter. I get results in 24 hours or less with NO cramping, bloating or side effects whatsoever. Just mix with your fav drink - even in a MF shake and drink. You can't tasted it even in plain ol water.
