Hi Ron. I am so sorry to hear of your troubles. I certainly will pray for your boss. My oldest son had a brain tumor. He was diagnosed only 2 weeks after he turned 3. His tumor was a stage 2 pyelocytic astrocytoma. It was malignant, but it was still contained in its sac. Therefore, it had not invaded his brain yet. It was growing off of his cerebellum in his right posterior fossa. ( kind of behind his ear) Anyway, he is great now. We had a wonderful neurosurgeon in Lubbock, TX. His name is Harold Smith. Make no bones about it, he gives NO false hope. He prepares everyone for the worst. His advice is prepare for the worst, pray for the best. I have great faith in Dr. Smith. You can read some articles about him at lubbockonline.com or look up the Lubbock Avalanche Journal. If your boss reaches a point where he wants or needs a second opinion, you might remember Dr. Smith. When Jake's tumor was discovered, they placed a ventriculostomy (drain) within hours to relieve the pressure of increased fluid off of his brain. They did his surgery 2 days later. Did I read your message correctly, he called you LAST Monday and told you of the tumor and a week later there has still been no surgery? Where is the mass located? If you don't mind me asking.
Fasten your seatbelt, Ron. You are in for a surely WILD ride over the next few months. We will continue to pray for you and for your boss and his family.
Much Respect,
