Thanks all -

Mike, my sodium intake consists of 2 pickles a day - maybe a gulp of the pickle juice - and 2 boullion cubes. I'm also taking a prescription ibprophen (sp?) for a pulled shoulder muscle but don't know if that has anything to do with fluid retention.

I'm NOT giving up!!!! I've come too far too fast to turn back now. It's THINVILLE OR BUST!!!

Ibuprophen you say... I *know* that it causes me to retain water like crazy which is why I don't take it for cramps anymore. I get bloated enough on my own, thanks, I don't need help there! ;D

Perhaps you might want to consider up-ing your water intake while you are on the pain meds. Plus the extra water will help your shoulder by flushing out the by-products as it heals. Sorry to hear about your shoulder!

Just a thought. :)

Alrightee folks!

Hawaiiwhatnot reporting here Monday morning Sep 20 from sunny Honolulu a FOUR POUND DROP in weight!!!!!!! This is NEWS!!!!!

Used to weigh once a month but now every few days to figure out my losing pattern, and the reason for the past 2 week stall.

1. Have stopped taking ibuprophen
2. Ran out of pickles so having had any for 5 days

Everything else is the same. I believe the stall is natural but also the above 2 items contributed to water retention. Will proceed without my beloved pickles and daily gulp of pickle juice. whimper... :|

SOOOOO, I'm BELOW 150 pounds now! 50 pound club look out! I'm coming !!! (humming that song "Hold on, I'm comin"...)

Thanks to all here for helping me figure out my recent scale retard!

Shake shake shake, shake shake shake, shake your boodie, I mean foodie... :yippee:

Hawaii What Not ~

Ooh, that is hula lula good news!

You poor, Dear - going through withdrawl since you can no longer have a Picklelily Cocktail, eh?

Ibuprophen DOES indeedy doo cause water retention. How well I know. I take Indocin and Prednisone and they BOTH cause it...Argh!

If you are taking Ibuprophen for joint pain, try the Medifast Plus Joint Health - three shakes a day for a week, then try two shakes a day for maintenance. It does seem to really help some of us. Chondroitin and glucosamine in very pure forms assists our cartilage and makes us feel happy!

Way too go Camille!!!!!!!!

See? Upping your Bootie shaking, and cutting out ibuprofen and salt did throw you off the plateau. Whatever you do beautiful one...don't stop exercising.

Happy Aloha Friday gang!

GREAT NEWS: :point: Today,
I have officially lost 50 pounds!

The answer to the title of this thread "Can I do better?" is perhaps. I added exercise, and stopped taking in a lot of sodium. Just maintaining through a holding pattern I think was the trick.

The stall I had was Sep 1 through Sep 20 losing only 1 pound! Then I stepped on the scale on 4 days later Sep 24 and I've lost 8 pounds in 4 days!

People, if you're in a holding pattern, keep up the plan, drink more water, don't overdo the salt intake like drinking from the pickle jar, keep that chin up and shaker jar shakin - the loss will come!

Lois, I'm just one day behind you on joining the 50 lb Club. Feels GREAT!

Very happy hula hips, :goofy:

:boing: Alo-o-o-o-ha-a-a-a Miss Camille ~ :boing:

Welcome to the 50 POUNDER CLUB!

Awesome, Dudette!

You really are onolicious, Sistah!

:devious: See, folks?! I tell ya to :whip: hang tough during those plateaus. You just cannot take it out on Mr. Scale by grabbing and stuffing during one of those holding patterns. Once you break through it, then hold on because you're on for another ride and a southern slide...

I am packing my leopard swim suits, my shorts and little shirts BECAUSE I CAN and I am outta here in 15 hours...

:exercise: Aloha and Mahalo

Woohoo, Camille@!!!!

Say, did 'ya forget to update the bottom line of your profile? The current weight doesn't reflect the last 4, I think?

You're catching up with my thinner and stagnant self!! I hope I can see some of your rapid loss soon. Every night, up 4-5 times and I think, "Oh, THIS is good !!" -- and in the morning, the same thing, like Groundhog Day.

But the good news from you and others is keeping me going. Thanks for that!
