Today makes the anny of the day Gina took control of her life and quit smoking. I am so very proud of you. You are such an inspiration in so many ways you really have no idea. Thanks for always being there for me when I need someone to talk to and a HUGE congrats on your 1 year quit...I never had a doubt.

Thanks, Elke...my friend for remembering and celebrating with me and Thank ya Jeepgirl for your support and congratulations!!!

It's been a good year! Quitting wasn't easy but very worth it. God took away the obsession/desire when I finally prayed and asked him too and with the help of another support board I was finally able to kick that habit.

Gina, I'm so proud of you for quitting and now for such a fantastic health journey on MF. Your body is thanking you every day. You will be around for many more years because of your actions. You have taken control of your health and future.

If there was one thing in the world I wish was never invented, it would be cigarettes. They took away my mom forever, because she never understood the power her addiction had to ruin her health and destroy her future. She died at 65, far too young, after 5 years of misery and surgeries.

You don't know it, but you are an inspiration to others to change their lives for the better.

Thank you so much Tammy for your kind words. I am so sorry about the loss of your Mom. My mom smokes...a LOT as do both my brothers. It does scare me but I can't control what they do...and just have to do what I have too, for me and hope and pray that my sticking to my guns shows them it really is possible(I was a hardcore smoker of 2 1/2-3 packs a day)

Miss Dede, thanks so much lady! You know I have faith that you WILL be celebrating a "quit smoking" anniv. sometime soon...You are made of strong stuff wether you believe it or not and I know your gonna do it when your ready to tackle it! Believe in yourself and stick to your guns...oh, and chew LOTS of gum!
