Confessions of a Club Soda Junkie

Postby Amber » June 7th, 2006, 9:53 am

I admit that I cannot choke down 64+oz plain ol' water in a day... :water:

But club soda, sparkling water, seltzer - that's another thing. 100 oz is easy!

I have found that adding just a splash of sparkling flavored (0 calorie) water to the already bubbly water makes it go down even easier & with flavor to boot! Being ever frugal, and at my grocer's suggestion, I have begun to make seltzer at home. It's wonderful and doesn't have the sodium of commercial club soda. SF flavors also available (as are sugared for everyone else). Check out sodaclub dot com.

Sloshing while shaking- :guzzle:

Me, too!
:-P However, I can drink the plain water. I just like the club soda better, especially the ones with a bit of lemon or lime. This does count towards our water, right? It doesn't have any sodium in it....

And my wife likes to make the punches (Tropical, Cran-Mango) with seltzer and ice. I have to admit, its yummy.

I have seen the soda club website and was curious to know how well the device works. Have you had it long? Does it hold up well? I was considering purchasing a soda siphon.

It does work well. I have not had it long enough to attest to its longevity, however it does have a three year warantee.

But do the diet soda's taste good?? I have looked at it too. I just can't decide if I want to take the chance on it not tasting good.

I haven't even tried the diet sodas; I'm in it for the bubbles, not the flavor.
I'll make some up in the next few days & pass my opinion along-

JMO, I much prefer plain seltzer with the tiniest bit of Crystal Light or SF Tang to the diet soda flavors.
