So I am planning on giving up coffee this morning? Yesterday It just hit me that I drink way to much. Almost a pot a day.

My question is giving up coffee will that help with losing more.?

I think it depends on how much coffee you drink. You are supposed to limit caffeinated beverages when on plan for some reason, right? Maybe it makes you retain water or something? I don't know, I've never been a coffee drinker (unless you count the iced coffees that are more like milkshakes than coffee!), but I don't think it will hurt your weight loss certainly.

Hi Katie,
I was just perusing a bit today and found your question. Coffee can irritate your stomach and make you feel hungry.. it's also can have a diuretic effect .. you'll be running to the potty enough!!

It does also speed your metabolism some, though. I stick to one Diet Coke a day, five or six days a week.
