Yep, just check the calories/fat/carbs for surprises. And remember it doesn't take more than a tiny bit for the taste. :D

I had shrimp the other night for my lean. I told my sis-in-law how sad it is that I must force feed myself shrimp cocktail.:bib: What a great plan MF is!!!

Walden Farms has both a Seafood Sauce which should be like cocktail sauce AND a scampi sauce. http://waldenfarms.com/ -- I can never find any of their goodies so have gotten them from them directly and Amazon.com.

Serendipity is right too - checkt he label careful and if is like ketchup/BBQ/Mustard you will probably be ok but check the label super careful and don't go crazy!!

I am so having a Shrimp Salad for lunch now -- thanks ladies!!!

Shrimp

Postby Jan » January 5th, 2006, 12:05 pm

Oh Yummmm
Shrimp -- it's 11:00 here in the great Pacific NW now so I'm going to be heading off to the store to buy shrimp. I was wondering what I should have for dinner and you all helped me out. Everyone is right -- I think -- (since my carrot episode -- I need to be certain and check the NEW protocals ) the sauce is fine in limited amounts. The Walden Farms sauce is most likely the best. Hmmmm I think I have some in my fridge.

Tami ~

Oh, yeah! TJ is great! Love that hotsy totsy sauce, too!

Read the labels, Folks. Some cocktail sauce is laden with  shoo-guh.

The protocol includes 1-2 TEAspoons of ketchup, BBQ sauce and mustard.

Lemon juice is also good on shrimp!

Hi, I am right near Phoenix and there are Sprouts all over the place. I am sure in CA there have to be some that carry Walden foods. I have gotten my mom the jelly (grape and raspberry). The one near me has all of the dressings, the 2 you mentioned plus Alfredo, tomato sauce.... I don't know how they do it, but the stuff sure tastes good to me. They also have the marshmallow and chocolate syrup, but I have never had either-not a marsh. fan. BUt, I am sure there is a health food type store nearer to you so you aren't paying all the extra shipping costs. I have seen very limited stock in Bashas and Safeway near the health food/diabetic foods.

Thanks everyone for the reply! I was just dying for some shrimp cocktail and it looked so good at the store. I will read the label carefully and use mostly lemon juice as Nancy suggested, but got to have that cocktail sauce. Now I know I can eat it for dinner tonight.
Thanks!!
