#50 lb club - me too, me too!

Postby Serendipity » January 27th, 2006, 5:10 am

Well, this last 10 lb. has been a bit slow because I started an exercise program. My body rebelled big time. When I weighed this morning, I was expecting my usual stall, but I was surprised by another 2 lbs.

:bouncieball: :bouncieball: :bouncieball: WAHOOOOOOO!!!!! :bouncieball: :bouncieball: :bouncieball:

Yep, I'm happy

OUTSTANDING !!! I'm just starting to exercise after a month on MF and I'm curious as to how my body will react. I would be very happy to maintain a steady 3lb a week loss.

Keep it up !! You'll get to where you want to be.

Great job Jo! Congrats on joining the 50 lbs club!!

I know slow losses can be agonizing especially when you hear of folks losing at a rapid pace. Here's something I read this morning: "Keeping a positive attitude and remembering that eating better and/or exercising regularly have changed your body composition -- you'll likely have more lean body mass, which weighs more than fat. And although the scale may not reflect these changes, rest assured that people who eat right and exercise regularly can experience health benefits, including a decreased risk of heart disease and diabetes, a better blood lipid profile improved blood sugar control, and lower blood pressure."

Just a reminder that even when the scale isn't responding your body is! But I guess you don't have to worry about that this morning...you just lost another 2 lbs!!

Yay, Jo!! How freakin' cool are you???!! Now we are truly neck and neck, and you've got me beat by a half a pound! I am so happy for you, and the fact that you've been exercising means the weight will continue to come off long into the future. Exercising is our way of insuring that we'll be able to handle maintenance - yeah, a while away, but we have to think about it!

Anyway, you are kicking butt, and I am so happy for you and proud of you!

Keep up the fantastic work and good vibes!

Wow Serendipity!! That is absolutely fantastic!! You should be very proud of yourself.

I just started 2 weeks ago and waiting to begin exercising for another week. I know I really need to as it helps firm up and makes you feel better. Muscle weighs more than fat, but muscle makes you looks skinnier and firmer! Also exercise will increase your metabolism for faster calorie burning.

Keep up the good work - I hope to be there some day :)

Way to go Jo!!!
Great job!! WooooooooooHooooooooo! :yay:

I appreciate hearing about others adding back exercise. :treadjog: I've added my walking back this week and wondered if that was my reason for s-l-o-w-i-n-g down too.

But, I like what Trixie posted! We're getting healthier and the body will catch up! Healthy is GOOD!

Happy Friday to everyone!!

Hey Jo, congrats on your scale moving again!!

You did the move of beginning exercise, which is a real good thing. It's so true that muscle weighs more than fat, and while the scale cannot reflect that, you actually didn't stall. Just replaced the fat with muscle :D :D :D

You deserve a big CONGRATULATIONS!
