Chynna,

Happy anniversary! I'll have my 31st on the 26th of this month.....another June bride. (every year is better than the last)

I hope you don't mind if I take a moment to respond to nickie.......GIRL! WHAT ARE YOU THINKIN???? There, did I sound like Dr. Phil? hehe

There are so many special occasions both major as in anniversaries, birthdays, etc, and smaller ones, such as meeting a friend for coffee, or bridge club, or church gatherings......heck, there are probably enough special occasions to fill up half the year. We can't continually reward ourselves on those occasions with food, because lemme tell ya....when maintenance comes along, those special occasions seem to expand to fill the space and before you know it, every day is a special occasion of some sort.

I've been working on losing the pounds I put on while on vacation last month and I've been doing great at staying on plan, except I've allowed myself, on "special occasions" to partake in less than compliant stuff. Well, that stopped 2 days ago and I'm determined to set a good example for myself alone. I think my crazy thinking may have been cured by your post, Nickie.....thank you so much for that! Mark it on your calendar folks, nickie has given me great support today!

but I believe that there are special occasions for a reason

I'm not sure what you meant by that.....but I do believe that many are the result of greeting card companies' marketing strategies, hehe.

Chynna, So glad you had a wonderful anniversary and what a romantic husband you have.

I'm looking so forward to the scrapbook conv. tomorrow especially because my sister-in-law will be meeting me from out of town. I love to scrapbook but need to make more time to do it. I bet your friends scrapbooks are wonderful, especially having all the goods to use out of her store - how nice.

Thanks for the congratulations on my weight loss!

Well, I know that - but I was thinking that making every day a special occasion was something I would outgrow. I guess that doesn't happen so easily. Anyway, glad I could help the great and powerful Jo for once. Believe it or not, I was thinking of you when I wrote that, but thanks for giving me a different perspective. Hijack over, Chynna!

Certainly the added "exercise" will compensate for the chocolate! LOL!

I'm so happy you and your darling husband had a marvelous time! Life is too short to deprive yourselves of the enjoyment you share! :woohoo:

THANK YOU everyone for your kind words, and Jo you can hijack my journal anytime!..you too Nicki & Biki!

It is 4:20pm here and i just got home from being released from the hospital...yeah, it's ME this time. I have been soooooo SICK and was taken to the hospital Friday night. I was working in the yard earlier that morning planting some flowers after cutting the grass, and SUDDENLY became soooooo dizzy (vertigo) and nauseated...so when i tried to get up EVERYTHING started spinning around and i started to vomit. My neighbor happened to be outside too and came over to help me. She called Lucian at work and he immediately came home. He said let's go to the hospital and i said let's wait..if i just lay down for a little while this will pass...well needless to say it didn't. I tried eating some saltine crackers to help the nausea but they didn't help and i continued to be soooo sick. Anyway, we ended up in the emergency room and ALOT of questions were asked from the doctor, and i began telling him EVERYTHING including me being on Medifast and not having done any kind of exercise until now. They did test and determined first of all that i was dehydrated and started an IV. I continued to be SO sick to the stomach..i wanted to DIE. So then they wanted more test done and they were, but they could find nothing wrong other than my electrolytes were way off. So my own personal physican was called and she ordered somthing called Compazine for the vomiting, well needless to say that didn't work right away. Anyway they admitted me into the hospital, but of course i i didn't wanna stay but DID afterall.

The next morning my doctor orderd an MRI to see what might be causing the Vertigo...NOTHING showed. I was questioned very heavily about me being on the Medifast since February and being compliant the MAJORITY of the time. Then she ordered the nutitionist to come and talk with me...well i told her everything about my Medifast journey, and she was explaining to me because i had begun exercising for the very first time that i was probably OVER EXERTING myself without any additional calories/water. Also, she and the doctor have "temporarily" removed me off the program to let my body rest and re-adjust.

But on a happy note, i lost 8 eight pounds which has put me at my goal weight. I need to change my ticker. Now i'm mixed up and don't know what to do because i should be "Transisting"...any suggestions? I don't ever WISH this happen to ANYONE.

I wanted to checkin here with you all..but will catch up on everything later...it's so weird, but i'm STILL feeling a little nauseous:+(

I do hope that everyone here has been doing well:+)

Love,
Chynna

Oh Chynna - I am so sorry. I feel your pain honey...you are kind of in the same boat as me not knowing what to do. Just give yourself a break and let yourself heal. All of this will be here when you are more up to it. I went back on MF too fast the first time I got sick and ended up getting sick again. I stayed off it the second time for almost two weeks. That seemed to do the trick - but I go to the GI specialist this Friday for the first time. We will see what she has to say.

I hope you feel better soon. Please let us know how you are doing. You were there for me and I would like to be there for you. Just get lots of rest and the only advice I can give you is eat whatever sounds good or whatever you feel you will be able to keep down.

Love you!!

Oh heavens but it sounds like you've been through the wringer these past 5 days. I hope you'll feel better soon and good for you for getting to goal (kind of a brutal way to go about it though  ;) (just teasing).

As for transition......if you aren't suppose to go back on MF, then I'd just suggest that you count calories and eat only healthy foods. Being at goal should be incentive to eat healthy and to keep your weight down. Just my suggestion and maybe you have a better idea or someone else will chime in with something else.
