"TODAY I MARRY MY FRIEND" was on our program cover this day 3 years ago :-P

Tis' my wedding anniversary today and we are STILL BEST friends!! i was told to get ready for a "wonderful" evening out..but i'll leave it to your imagination what happens when we're back home..LOL! Sad to say however that i'm not 155 pounds as i was on that glorious day:+(

Happy Anniversary Girlfriend!! I am so happy for you.

I can still remember the day you signed up for this forum and how shy you were. You are such a wonderful person and it's been great to see how you have blossomed with your weight loss.

You are so close to goal - only 7.5 pounds. You go girl. I hope you have a wonderful evening with your darling hubby and I hope you have many many more years of happiness together.

I'm baaaacckkkkk!!..it is now 11:15am.

Awwww, my humble THANKS to each of you who sent such kind wishes, "beautiful" cards and toasts" for our anniversary:+)))

Oh it was a WONDERFUL one i must say...even turned into a little mini honeymoon..lol! My handsome hubby surprised me with dinner at the Sagamore Luxury Resort Hotel in Lake George, New York. We had FINE dining (Nickie you may know it)...it was FABULOUS, and later on i was presented with a beautiful Hearts On Fire Diamond Tennis Bracelet..always wanted one, and i felt sorta bad that i didn't have anything special to present to him except my undying love and appreciation, and of course a card that FULLY expressed our relationship from the beginning to now: it said...

I remember our first date, our first kiss, our very first "I love you's."
I remember how natural it felt to start out together, how comfortable we were despite all the crazy stuff that was happening around us.
I knew i had found a companion for the journey ahead, someone who would stay beside me, no matter how the road turned or where it took us.

More years than I can believe have slipped by us. But I feel the same way now as I did all those years ago. I feel anything is possible.
I know we can count on each oher, and i want to go on sharing everything on life's journey with you...Happy Anniversary.

We both ended up crying..but happy tears:+)

He'd reserved a special romantic suite and everything!!...NEVER under-estimate whta'a man will do when the time comes...lol!
Anyway, i'm looking forward to the NEXT one already!!!!...ONLY thing missing tho were those "fur lined"
handcuffs Miss Thang bought for her "sexy" man in uniform hubby:+)))...they certainly would've been a WELCOMED addition to the night in..LOL!

Believe me i tried to stay compliant, but needless to say i couldn't when he stuffed those HUGE chocolate covered strawberries down my throat.hahahahahaha...but you better believe we WORKED that off...LOL!

and Biki i see you're a June bride tooooo:+))))

Well I don't know that I wanted all the details but I'm glad you had a great time.

I've heard of the place you went but never been there - who knows, maybe that's the same place my husband is planning to take me in a couple of weeks - I still don't know the plans.

I may be in the minority here, but I believe that there are special occasions for a reason. I am planning to be compliant on our weekend away, but for something like an anniversary exceptions have to be made I think. After all, we didn't get fat by eating like crazy once in a while - it was treating every day like a special occasion that did it. I look at it like this with my daughter - while we're home, we eat the right things and do everything by the rules. When she goes someplace else or is in someone else's care, their rules apply - and it's a special occasion. Does she get way more chocolate and popsicles at Grandma's than with us? Yes, of course, but that is my mother's right to treat her to things.

If she, and we, eat appropriately 90% of the time, we are not going to do long-term damage by going overboard every so often.

NOTE - I am not saying this applies to every occasion - it is to everyone's discretion. I am not saying cheat at every birthday party that comes down the pike. But food is pleasurable, and it's OK to indulge on occasion.
