Hello Miss Lauradr ~

Your Chicky Noodle Salad sounds really great but....sorry to destroy your dinner menu here ...one of the most important things we are learning during the weight loss phase is to eat balanced meals - a balance of the macronutrients protein-carbs-fat.

Each Medifast packet in and of itself is perfectly balanced. When we add other things to a packet, we change the balance of the meal. By adding the salad to the soup in essence, you're having a carbier soup than what is planned into the daily food plan. The lean and green meal is to be eaten together - the green with the lean together makes it balanced when in the right proportions.

Your recipe would be excellent for weight maintenance but not for the weight loss phase. Thank you for sharing your ideas - what a neat combination, too!

Laura ~

I was thinking about your salad idea for maintenance - it might be really tasty with a bit of vinegar drizzled on top! :bib:

Please don't think of me as The Ogre :whip: whipping folks into shape here, the program is different from any others and it takes a while to figure it out. dlr2424 is right, we all learn from one another and the cool thing is this - you've given us a great idea for maintenance.

It's hard to know what people might include in their salad, the addition of a small amount of lettuce only to a packet of Chicken Noodle soup most likely wouldn't contribute to the meal total very much in terms of carbs and certainly not calories but for some people with :deadhorse: donkey-metabolisms it could be the difference between holding on or letting go of some weight. Some of us have a very resistent metabolism from all the years of yo-yo dieting and we must fight hard for every pound! :lightsword:
