Cheese question

We've been told that we cannot mess with the green part of our L & G. You can't have smaller portions of both a cooked veggie and a salad. It's one or the other - period.

Can we mess around with the lean part? Could one have 3.5 ounces of chicken and 1/2 cup or less of cheese (since we are allowed up to a cup of cheese)?

I'm not really trying to cheat the system - I would just love to have some cheese on my veggies. This is propbably why this won't work... I COULD have just veggies and cheese...

They have a product call Molly McCheese that you can use and it is wonderful on veggies and is good in the cream of brocolli soup too

Molly McCheese is AWESOME. It works great on broccoli! :bib:

I used that years ago when it came out. I keep looking for it. I see Molly McButter but haven't found the cheese...

I just got both at the local Wal-Mart. (Not a super-center either).

I finally found the Molly McCheese today. It was at my usual grocery store, but I guess they just added it to their stock. I tested a little bit of it and it tasted ok, but I haven't had a good use for it yet.

I may be wrong about this, but I think it is acceptable to use lowfat cheese in addition to your meat as long as you equal the portions based on what the quick start booklet says.

That's what I REALLY want to know. Is that legal? Does anyone know for sure? It's illegal to do that with the veggie/salad part.

BTW - I found the McCheese at Kroger today. Couldn't find it at my Walmarts...

I was wondering this also!!!

I was also wondering if Kraft Fat Free cheese slices were allowed? They have virtually no nutritional value (are these things even cheese?!?!) and I think only about 30 calories? They may have some sodium, though...oops...will have to check on that...

Nah, some of them are pretty good. They obviously do not melt all that well like a regular cheese would, but they are okay!
