Chai Latte, Hot Cocoa, Cappucino . . .

Postby RUCHEERFUL » July 2nd, 2006, 2:04 pm

. . . Can we drink these items cold or iced without heating them? They seem like they would taste yummy iced and be great for the summer months. It would also save a step by not having to heat them!!

Does anyone here do that?

Thanks!

Rue

Hi Rue, I am really very new to the program so somebody more knowledgeable might shoot me down (hee hee), but I recently had my chai latte on ice, and I did not ever heat it before I drank it that way. It WAS easy, and it was pretty yummy.

I know there are other threads about this very thing, probably in the lean cuisine section, but I don't have them in my back pocket, so I will just direct you to the search feature at the top of the screen.

Welcome :).

Hi, absolutely!! In fact, I think that the cocoa and the cappuccino taste very good at room temp or with ice. A meal is a meal, and whatever works for you within the program guidlines is just fine. Enjoy your iced meals! :D Joan

I have had the Chai iced and blended... its yummy. I also do the cocoa in decaf coffee.... might try that iced... that might be good. As for the capp... its too sweet for me so I don't drink it.
I find the Tropical Punch very yummy over ice or blended.

Thanks Mike for the suggestion of the cocoa in the decaf--sounds good either heated or iced!!!

BTW, thanks again for the travelling tips you shared a couple of weeks ago!!! The trip went great and I stayed on-plan the entire time, except for a few bites of excellent wedding cake--then I went right back on plan.

Those few bites of cake did not even stop my losing and no one knew I was MFsting. The entrees were filet mignon, chicken, salad and zucchini veggies (of course I passed on the wild rice and rolls!!). Amazing how flexible this diet really is and I don't have to broadcast it to the world that I"m dieting!! I fit right in!!

Have a great Monday!!
Peace,
Rue

Normally, I heat them, but sometimes I do frozen hot chocolate. Not bad...good with a little bit of marshmallow srup, too. I have never made the chai cold on purpose, but I drink it when I let it it sit too long and it ends up cold anway.
No opinion on cappuccino. I don't like cofee flavored anything

Hi there,
I change things around all the time. I have my hot cocoa blended with ice -- pretty yummy as are the cappuccino and chai. I also have the cranberry mango made hot as well as the teas. It gives us lots more variety. Go ahead it won't hurt a thing :D
