Cappuchino Recipe

Postby Tiolazz » April 1st, 2006, 7:44 am

Morning all....

I tried the Cappuchino this morning and after reading all the posts about people not liking it, I decided to try some experimenting..... My husband is from Italy, so expresso and Cappuccino are morning routines at our house, so I knew I had to make this one work for me.....

I mixed the water and packet, microwaved as instructed. I have this little cup called Coffee magic, ( one of those Ronco things I hate to admit, my mom buys me everything off of tv) added one shot of expresso, 1 tablespoon of ff 1/2 & 1/2 and 1 shot of chocolate raspberry sf ff syrup and hit the button.... The coffee magic cup has a little blender blade right in the bottom of the cup, so it mixed it up to a wonderful frothy cappuccino....

OMG, it was great.... and I only bought one package as a sample... I am surely going to have to order boxes of this today. It surely beat the heck out of the oatmeal...

Anyhow, wanted to share for all you coffee lovers out there..

Have a great M/F Day.... :cleader:

Cappuccino recipe

Postby Lizabette » April 1st, 2006, 8:53 pm

Hey TERRI,

Thanks for sharing the Cappuccino recipe w/expresso. Sounds wonderful. I do similar things with French vanilla shake, chai tea, swiss mocha and others, except I add regular coffee and variety of s/f syrups. I sometimes make the coffee extra strong w/instant coffee or decaf. It all goes into a 16 oz thermal mug and I sip to my hearts content.

Isn't it great that we can experiment with MF meals for a variety of flavors and textures?

I tended to not drinkt he Cappuccino or Chai Tea because they were too sweet. But today I mixed the Cappuccino with strong, black Starbucks coffee and then poured the whole thing over a lot of ice and it was AWESOME!!!! What a nice iced coffee drink! I really enjoyed it! Guess I have a new thing I like now!!!! :yay:

Try putting in 1 tsp of unsweetened chocolate! It tastes heavenly!! I tried this frozen and hot and both are equally good!

I just add the vanilla shake, the chocolate shake or the cappucino into my coffee instead of milk/splenda...etc.... It's sweet enough for me. :) Every morning I drink my coffee with one of those. :) Or if I'm running out, I grab a black coffee at Dunkin Donuts and add a shake or the cappucino to it. Perfecto!

I'm not a coffee or tea drinker. The chai is OK to me, but definitely NOT my favorite - too strong and sweet... Does the cappucino taste like coffee by itself? Is it as strong as the chai?

I'm not a coffee or tea drinker either.

I do the frozen version of the chai and the cappuccino. The frozen chai reminds me of pumpkin pie and I'm enjoying it more and more these days.
The frozen cappuccino I absolutely LOVE! I don't think it's as strong as the chai. To me...it tastes like the smell of coffee, which I love the smell...just can't stand to drink coffee.
Frozen capp is one of my new faves. :D

Wow...did I sound like a loon or what?

SURE!

It's a tough on so you might need to get a pen and paper!

Frozen Cappuccino:

1 pkt of Cappuccino
7 oz of water
ice (amount depends on how frozen you want it ;) )

mix in blender or Magic Bullet until all the ice is pulverized.
I will sometimes add a TBSP or 2 of DaVinci chocolate syrup to make it a Frozen Mocha Cappuccino. :)

Frozen Chai Latte:

1 pkt of Chai Latte
7 oz of water
ice (amount depends on how frozen you want it ;) )

mix in blender or Magic Bullet until all the ice is pulverized.

A lot to remember, eh?

Pardon me...really...I'm in a really goofy mood today. :-P
