campout

Postby Jade » October 15th, 2005, 11:48 am

I am going on a campout in about 10 days with about 20 other women (mostly skinny). Does anyone have any ideas of what I could take for my lean and green? I'm kinda stumped. Jade

If you will have a cooler, perhaps you can bring some lean luncheon meat, lettuce, and grape tomatoes. You can make a wrap using the lettuce or you can have a quick salad with the meat on top. If you have grape tomatoes you can just throw the entire tomatoes on the wrap or salad without having to use a knife.

Sorry, that was me. I forgot to log in.

Also, you may be able to bring hard boiled eggs. But, again, this is assuming that you will have a cooler.

You could grill chicken on a stick with veggies - kabobs are great camping food. Prepare them in advance and use some of those little blue ice bags to keep them chilled. Take along some Hot Cocoa or Chai Latte for an evening snack.

Have fun - take some skeeter spray!
