Calling In The Medifast Gods

Postby dlr2424 » March 16th, 2005, 9:48 am

Okay guys it is the SNAIL QUEEN herself asking all the WONDERFUL MEDIFASTERS out there to send POWERFUL......THINNY WISHES to the East Coast....particularly R.I. .....my body doesn't seem to want to let go of this weight despite being compliant...
It is slow at realizing that FATVILLE is no longer an option & THINVILLE is where it's at.....my snail of a metabolisim is stuck in reverse & seems to be holding on to this weight for dear life...i'm not obsessing over it ....but it can be frustrating :nutz:...
so I thought I would just write a post and amuse myself.....Thanks for listening ...i'm off to shake the fat... :exercise:
Have an awesome day!!

 Ok Donna - what is going on????? Have you stopped losing? Just going super slow? Have you ever posted your schedule here? I just happened to read in one of Unca's posts that some people have found it helpful to have 7-8 meals a day. Maybe if you have a super slow metabolism you need more of a boost? Have you talked w/ your HA or Nancy? I would suggest a call to go over specifics to see what you can tweak. Some people say they can't have any bars or it stops them (I think you said you are not having them anyway) and some can't have pickles as they retain water. There may need to be some tiny changes to what you are doing and that will boost you forward.
:coach:
OK FAT - THIS IS THE OTHER DONNA CALLING - GET OFF NY BUDDY DONNA OR I WILL COME SHAKE YOU UP!!!

We'll get you through this Donna. Don't you fret. We're all in this together! :stroll:

You are too cute!!!!... ..I'm always in touch with my HA and just sent my scedule to the nurse....they say it's perfectly fine...just wait it out...and I don't do pickles...only one fast soup a day.....I've been 100% committed  so I'm not upset...I would just rather CRUISE along ... :drive: instead of CREEPING along..or rather CREEP, CREEP...STALL...CREEP, CREEP and it's possible I will continue this pattern until I hit goal...and that's fine to...I will just be the reinforcement & support to the other turtles out there that lose at the slower pace...We can't all get to goal at the same time....but we can all get there!!!!! 8)

Enjoy the Day

It's the blessing and the curse of not having quite so much weight to lose, Donna. The more you have to lose, the faster it comes off, at least at first.

I have to ask what sort of a scale you have that measures to the hundredth of a pound?? I've seen your ticker with the notation that you've lost "12.19" pounds, and have wondered. My scale does only half pound increments, but I know many people around here have them that measure to tenths of a pound. Never saw hundredths before.

I'm feeling rather gloomy at having lost just 2 pounds last week, and I've been on the scale every day this week hoping to get one more so that I can make it into the 40 pound club. Instead I'm fluctuating half a pound under to half a pound over last Sunday's weight. Blah.

I wonder what sort of a sacrifice one must make to the Medigods?

24K...when you find out that magical sacrifice don't leave me out...us soon-to-be THINNIES have to stick together.. ;)

The scale I have measures to .2 of a lb....it's a Healthometer...purchased it at WallyWorld.....I contemplated getting a fancy one that measures....BMI...WATER LEVELS...etc , etc. but then I would be married to it ....obsessing over it...so I bought the basic..digital...STEP ON...STEP OFF ....and when I reach goal I will..STEP ON ...&..STAY ON ...for the world to see 8) ..
.I just enter what the scale reads into tickerfactory ..so however they compute it is beyond me

I totally understand the gloomy feeling..but...YOU HAVE FREED YOUR BODY OF 40 LBS. ...FOREVER...THAT IS AN AWESOME ACCOMPLISHMENT!!!! ....I will keep you in my MEDI prayers so that scale reaches the 40 mark and continues so you fly to your goal... :drive:

You are both such a positive inspiration to everyone. I feel I am losing a little slower than others but quicker than others. I am trying hard not to compare myself to everyone. You guys inspire me to be the individual that I am and just keep knocking off the pounds til they are all bye bye. I know it will happen for all of us.
