Bye Bye goal # 2!

Postby SusannaRosannaDanna » September 15th, 2004, 6:27 am

This morning I stepped on the scale (yes, I do every single morning, LOL--I know, I know...) and was flabbergasted to see I was two pounds lighter! That puts me at my second goal of 265 pounds! Very very awesome. This is why I don't get worked up in a stalled week...because I know that as long as I keep doing what I'm doing, the scale WILL move and move a LOT...I just have to give it time! LOL
Anyway--just had to share, I was doing a happy dance around the bathroom this morning! LOL

Shake it up kiddos!

That's GREAT News!!!!! Congrats. Very encouraging for us "stallers" out here. I've been stalled for two weeks, but will "keep the faith".
Have a great day!

Awesome Susanna!

I feel the same way. The weight will come off if you are true to the program. While there are some lucky folks who lose weight fast and steady the whole time, the rest of us (after those euphoric first weeks where the weight just melts off) are more or less left with more sporatic loss.

The key is realizing that the loss does come - and faster than with any other program - but that you have to persevere through some of the more challenging times.

Keep it up!

Isn't it wonderful that we can all celebrate your accomplishment!

When we are stuck and struggling with it, along comes a little gift like your 2 Hefty Pounder Loss and it gives us the hope and desire to continue to hold out and to hold on. It helps us to realize that our turn to be a loser is just around the corner!

When I was in the 'slow to slough the flab' times, I thought about my primitive thinkings about God.

Not knowing very much about His character or His ways - that He is omniscient and omnipresent, I just had these random thoughts about how He must be based on my observations of my Mom and Daddy. As a child, I thought about how it must take God a long time to get around to answering all the people's prayers. I knew that He surely listened to all of our requests and that eventually He did get around to dealing with them all, it was just that He had a lot to remember and so very much to do. I thought that my name was on His “Honey Do” list and eventually it would be my turn.

My Mom and Daddy had a ‘Job Jar’ in the kitchen as I was growing up. We would on occasion select something from the Job Jar and then do it. So in my little mind (that still prevails…), God had this humongous Job Jar and He reached in and dealt with the job as He had time and was able to do.

Therefore, in my weight loss journey, when I was in the Waiting Room (Hmm..Weighting Room!), I just surmised He was busy carving off the flab of someone else and He would get around to mine shortly. Wait not, get not.

We jump for joy for your loss, we wait for ours! Party on, Dudes and Dudettes!

I love this support--it's wonderful to wallow in the stroking of my ego! LOL
You all are super and it just makes me BEAM to realize that there are so many caring and giving people here who freely spread encouragement and wisdom, share in fears of failure and falling short. This forum is a great place, and you people are tops.

You aren't just being nice to me because I'm (about to be) skinny, are you?
