Buncha questions

Postby Lulie » April 22nd, 2006, 10:24 pm

Hi,

I am sorry, but I have several questions to ask.

First off, can we use celery seed for our seasoning?

Can I cut back some on my meat portion with the L&G and eat more salad?

How much MollyMcButter can I use in a day?

If I use real garlic to cook with do I need to take that off my veggie amount for L&G?

And how much more does it cost to personalize your order? There are several things I am not using and want to pick out my own choices, but don't know if it costs a lot more or not.

Sorry for all the questions, but these are things that I have been wondering about

I thank you in advance for any answers.

Hi there Lulie
Ok, I think celery seed is fine. :D The lean and green must be balanced so make sure and have the 5 - 7 oz of protein and the veggie. I'm not certain about the MollyMcButter -- don't have a jar to check :? -- maybe someone else does. I love garlic and use it for cooking all the time. :D I think the amount we use is insignificant so I never count it. And here's the great news -- you can make up your order any way you please. It costs the same -- you only get the discount on the first order -- so go for it. Just remember if you order more than $200 you get free shipping. I always hate for people to spend their $$$ on shipping rather than food.

No Molly McButter here either. I THINK it has some calories and such so I stay away from it. I used I Can't Believe It's Not Butter spray...zilch all the way. :D

Hi Lulie,

Molly McButter: Calories 5, sodium 180mg, 1 carb----per teaspoon

MollyMcCheese: Calories 5, sodium 125 mg, 1 carb---per teasoon

Hope this helps you. I use both products, as it doesn't affect my weight loss either way. Maybe, those ultra-sensitive to water retention from even small amounts of sodium, probably should stay away from it.

Thanks so much everyone! I really appreciate the replies. I have a recipe I wanted to try with the celery seed but wasn't sure I could use it. You have all been a huge help.

Joan, do you have a limit of how much you use in one day? The reason I am concerned is, I could easily use 1 tsp on my broccoli/cauliflower portions during my L&G.

TIA

Hi, Lulie,

I usually use approximately the serving size of one teaspoon of either the McButter, or the McCheese. To be honest, I do not measure, I sprinkle! I don't imagine a teeny, tiny bit more than one teaspoon, but less than 2 teaspoons would do any harm. Hope this helps you! :D

Thanks Joan,

That definitely helps. I am not over using it them!

I had some on my broccoli yesterday and yum, yum. It is amazing since I never liked broccoli without cheese before.

Thanks again. :)

Hi Lulie,

You can DEFINITELY personalize what you order...it's not a problem! There is also a BeSlim Autoship preferred custome club where you can save 5% off your order months 1-3, 8% off your order months 4-6 and 12% off your order months 7+ I Love it! Saves me a bit of green to spend on new thinner clothes! There's no contract and you can change your order within 2-5 days of shipping. Talk to your health advisor about it. I just love the simplicity and the savings! And...you only have to order $75 worth of food to get the discount every month! Very helpful to those of us who spend a bit of extra cash for the Ready-to-drinks!

The only other question I can answer is the garlic. I use A LOT of fresh garlic on a lot of things...I don't count it either!

Hope this helps, you're doing great and I can't wait to hear some of the recipies I bet you'll dream up for the lean cuisine section!

Reducing the meat

Postby Mike » April 27th, 2006, 12:05 pm

What I have found helpful, since I have had gastric bypass and my stomach is smaller than many, I find it hard to eat all of that salad AND 7 oz of meat (and unground beef just doesn't work for me either). So, since lowfat cheese is okay, I mix cheese with the meat. I have about a 1/4 C of cheese or cottage cheese on the salad or added to the meat (4 oz chicken or so) and I can handle that.
If you are having trouble eating all that meat, this might help.
