Cool...I have found some Goya ones that are more picante-y than I like, but usually I can go for any flavor. Old BAy seasoning might do the trick to with some simmering and seafood added in...throw in a spoon of fat free cream and mix for cream of whatever...mmmmmmmmm good!

So what kind of bouillions should I look for? Max calories, carbs, sugar....

Most any kind of bouillon will do - most brands and varieties are about the same

All the ones I've seen have about 30 calories and 1 gm of carbs. Is that okay?

The ones on my shelf have fewer calories - more like 5-10 calories per cup.

Canned bouillon usually has more. I use the granular or the cubes. 30 sounds a little high to me but the carbs you list are low.

I got my shipment the other day (lobster and ham flavors plus Better Than Bouillon chili base) and YUMMMMMMM to all three!!! Thanks to everyone who mentioned these flavors.

I even made kind of a bacon-cheese thing with the ham flavor and my Molly McButter cheese flavoring (all you people who need to watch your sodium, look away!).

For all you southerners and others who grew up with their veggies cooked either in bacon grease or with a big old ham bone....I made cabbage for my lean and green and used Goya ham base in it (no cals or carbs or fat) and it tasted just like mom used to make only much healthier!!!

Now THAT sounds mighty good! I love, love, love cooked cabbage.

Questions: How do I deal with a husband that does not want me to cook cabbage, broccoli, Cauliflower or asparagus when his nasal passages are within 50 feet?

I don’t get it? Bean dip, garlic and onion buns are fine but green stuff in the cook pot and the Honeymoon’s over! :mrgreen:

Have you tried the chili base yet?? I thought about picking some up the other day. Also if you could would you please post the nutritional info like calories, carbs and fat??
