Hi all..

Day two here. No issue with the shakes, no problem grilling some chicken last night, (of course on my GF grill!) all in all feeling great!

One minor issue... (I'll go with "minor" for now)
Had my 1st BM today.. I never "look" but this time I did and was shocked to see it all dark red...as in blood. (pee is normal)

Naturally, I am by no means attributing this to MF. There is no way that being on this program for 24 hours could cause this to occur. I did wake with some moderate (I'll give it a 7) lower back pain on my right side.. I'm thinking I had a slight kidney infection. I feel great right now, no pain, no headache. I will monitor this very closely.

Reading these forums as well as the "male" discussion thread over on the MF site is extremely motivational.

Get thee to a doctor, mate!!! I'm worried!

Glad you're feeling great. That's one of the things I really like about MF, too. I haven't felt like this in YEARS!!!

Have a great week (and get to a doctor!).

Yeah, it's obviously not the one day on Medifast, but for heaven's sake, get to a doctor pronto!!! That's nothing to fool around with.

fyi- dark blood in stool is bad; it indicates something internal. bright blood can be anal fissures or the like. so, if it is dark, dried blood, you need to hit urgent care.

Ok.. quick visit to the Dr this am, we're running a few tests. I'm feeling great right now, the Dr. seemed comfortable with the occurrence since it hasn't happened since. (twice)

Slight headache on day three, but other than that I feel tip top!

I used to have a variety of problems with digestion and the resultant elimination before I started Medifast. More than once I found blood in my stool. It's been too months now though and other than 1 small bout of diarhea after I cheated, I haven't had anything odd happening down there.

I am hoping that all of your tests come back okay. Maybe you'll be like me and that used to happen.. but now it will stop.

Day 4 and things are going great! I've settled into a nice plan...

6am Shake
9am Shake
12pm L&G (Today was 7oz shrimp, lettuce and sliced cukes topped with 10 sprays of Wish bone dressing)
3pm Fruit & Nut bar
6:00pm Two Maple & Brn sugar Oatmeal made as cookies... darned good!

Of course, tons of water. I did have a diet Snapple with lunch and a glass of Diet A&W with my cookies.

I *think* the only thing I could have done better is to space the cookies over a couple of hours.

Thoughts?

Looks good "Bob", and you're right about spacing out your doubled up meal. It'll help you later with portion control also.

Keep 'er up...:)

Yo, Bobloblaw, are you missing one MF meal, or did you just not report it yet? I only see 4 mfs and 1 L&G. Just checking...

Hope your tests came back negative, and you're still riding high...you'll start to see your energy levels jump up in the next few days, and you're going to feel maahvelous, I promise!

Good luck-

I combined two Oatmeals for MF #4&5. Next time, I'll eat 1/2 the cookies @ meal 4 and 1/2 at meal 5.

Here we are at day #7... feeling incredibly well. Days 3 & 4 came with headaches, likely sugar withdrawals from not drinking 3-4 Dr.Pepper's a day.

I cannot believe how great I feel, plenty of energy and sleeping great. It's interesting to see how your body reacts to food. It's now quite obvious that what I ate and likely when I ate it, was having an effect on my sleep patterns.

I'll weigh in tomorrow AM.
