MY BIRTHDAY

Postby MISSANNE » April 7th, 2006, 11:21 pm

Ok, it's here. well, it will be in 48mins. My birthday!
But, I'm not excited about that, matter of fact, I could care less. Anyways, what scares me is the BBQ tomorrow at 1pm and the dinner and going out tomorrow at 8pm. :toast:
Everyone will be asking me why I'm not eating or drinking.

I'm going to do my best to just have possibly a little extra L/G and stick to diet coke while out!

:aarggh:

Wish me luck!

P.S. the worst part is that my brothers wife is making my favorite cake, German Chocolate! :bib:

Happy birthday! You can certainly resist the temptation!

Last night I ate a little more than usual (still within MF limits) and I got sick! I think it was a good experience showing me what could happen if I cheat.

:birthday: Have a great day! I'm sure it will not be easy dealing with the temptations, but you can do it -- just think about the present you are giving yourself by sticking with Medifast!

Again, :birthday: :birthday: :birthday: :birthday: :birthday:

MISSANNE,

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, GIRL! :candle:

This would be a great day to let all your loved ones that don't already know that you are trying to "get healthy". They will admire you and understand why you are not eating the things that are not healthy on your program.

A little creativity and you can have a great L&G at the BBQ and birthday dinner and eat right along with the rest. :bib: You can even chose the place, or study the menu ahead of time.

The most important thing is to stay compliant. If you do this, then other temptations later on will be a 'piece of birthday cake'.

You are the important ONE, Missanne. Let us know how it goes...

Lizabette

It just amazes me that birthdays are always celebrated with food! Girl when you are smelling that BBQ just grab some celery and repeat to yourself "nothing tastes as good as thin feel" You do have your L&G out to look forward to and just concentrate on that and keep a mental imagine in your mind of what you will look like next year at this time.

You can do this and think of the example you are setting for others there by resisting temptation!

Happy birthday Missanne. :birthday: It sounds like you've got a plan and that's what you need. I wonder if you could ask your sister-in-law to skip the cake this year as you are trying to get healthier. :hmmm: :dunno:

Missanne,
First of all, Happy Birthday to you! And second, you have made the decision to get healthy, and you are not going to let yourself down. Temptations will always be there. You just have to realize that you are not that weak person anymore who gives in to temptations. You are now a weight loss warrior, and a little obstacle like german chocolate cake is no threat to you, not anymore. Maybe once upon a time, it would have had a different outcome. Look at you, calling ahead to the restaraunt, figuring out what to order in advance, you should be very proud of yourself! I have a cookout to go to tomorrow, and they are only planning on maiking hamburgers and hot dogs. And there will be b-day cake too, but Im bring ing a bar to fight off any sweet toooth callings, and I am bringing some chicken breast for me and my hubby, for them to throw on the grill. I already told my friend who is having the cookout that I will not cheat, but I dont want to miss her 3 yr old daughters b-day either. We can do this!
