I am so sorry to hear about your friend-take care of yourself emotionally. Good for you for turning down the candy bar (that particular type is a REAL weakness for me).

Woke up really hungry so I had a pickle spear while I made my coffee. About to have a shake. Losing weight slowly. 219.

No longer hungry. Been drinking a lot of water. Spending money. Did a Medifast order for a month's supply and then some, bought some exercise equipment and some parts for my camera. Busy bee!

218.6. Myrtle the Turtle :roll: I shouldn't complain. That's over two lbs. this week and average loss is 2-5 lbs. I just like to lose MORE MORE MORE. Who doesn't? My friend's memorial service is on Saturday morning.

I know about losing slowly. Every time I restart this program it is less and less each time.

Losing is good, gaining or stalling is not so good. 2# a week is wonderful.

Fast doesn't matter. Instant gratification is nice, of course, but life long changes seem that they would stick in our minds better, if they came slow and consistant.

Remind yourself that it isn't 'just getting the weight off fast' that you want. You want to keep that healthy, trim body for the rest of your life....and you want to learn to only eat for fuel, not to soothe.

You knew all this already, didn'tcha? :D

Biki, if you remember, I was the poster girl for slow weight loss. But look how long I've kept it off. I really do think slow is better for long-term success.
