Forgot to mention this in my previous post...but the biggest (and funniest) NSV of this trip so far occured at the Detroit airport. I had picked up my luggage at the baggage carousel and called my son on the cell phone to tell him I was heading outside to the curb for him to pick me up. (He had called me earlier to say that he had found a "parking" spot along the pick-up curb at the opposite end of the terminal.)
Well, I waited a few minutes and finally, I saw his car with precious granddaughter in it and waved at them.
Ready...
Wait for It....
Here it comes....

He didn't
recognize me
and <img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/36/36_12_6.gif' border=0>
drove right past me!!!
Luckily the car in front of him stopped so I was able to catch-up to him and "gently" pound on the trunk to get him to notice he had just driven past his mother!!!
Boy, was he apologetic and amazed. Come to think about it,the last time I weighed this much he was in Junior High (he's 29 now). Thank God, granddaughter Maggie didn't have the same problem and welcomed me with hugs and kisses.
