Bars, Bars and more Bars!

Postby SneezyKitten » January 22nd, 2004, 9:15 am

Ok, so I have said previously that the bars didn't really float my boat, but I keep one handy in case I have to miss a shake (only 1 a day though!). I would rather eat the bar than stray from my course.

Well......I just ordered a sample of a couple of bar flavors I hadn't tried yet and I would like to retract my previous "bars are yucky" type statements!!!!!

If you haven't explored the variety that is in the program because you are worried about getting stuck with a whole box-o-yuck; buy a sample! Then re-order only what really does it for you!

I am slowly and secretly munching on my Mint Chocolate bar, cut in to tiny pieces, as I work in the law library. VERY satisfying, VERY tasty and I am able to eat it sloooooooowwly! So glad I decided to sample what's out there. It makes it easier for me to stay on the plan rather than trying to create the variety myself and risking a set-back.

Great suggestion Sneezy,
We also try to advise this for anyone just starting out.

Some people find the bars less satisfying as far as appetite goes. One way to stretch them out a little, is to sip a bottle of water down while you're munching your bar. This helps me get that full feeling.

Bars

Postby Starloser63 » January 22nd, 2004, 9:47 am

I have heard that the bars may stimulate hunger and are too sweet. have any of you experienced this?

Afraid to try them.

Susan: If you have a bar with 8 oz of water, as Tim suggested, I don't think you will have that problem.

My problem with them is....I ALWAYS have the desire to eat more than one! But then again, that has always been my problem with food...can't eat just one! This is a behavior I have to re-learn.

Jeanette,

Will it keep it from stimulating hunger or being to sweet?

I also have the more than just one syndrome. That is why I went with Medifast, because I had to get away from the food.

The best thing to do is try them for yourself. Everyone's tastes are different, and it may affect you differently than it does me. Just listen to your body and see if it gives you the high sign either yes or no.

As an aside: I highly recommend the Lemon Fantasy bars!! :)
