I'm back too

Postby Tiffany38 » July 18th, 2007, 9:04 am

Well after being so gung-ho about losing all this weight back in April -- I fell off the wagon, got run over by the wagon and the wagon left without me. :?

But today is a new day and I caught up on a new wagon and am restarting all over again today. I KNOW I can do this -- and I WILL do this!

Some reasons for my failure last time: Did SO well week 1 (9.5 lbs lost) last time, that I began to have a taste of this and a bite of that during week 2. Then I got upset when week 2 rolled around and I hadn't lost anything!! So that other faceless voice that lives in my head and tries to take over kept telling me "start tomorrow, start tomorrow." Boy, is her calendar messed up! From April to JULY and finally I am back. I also screwed up by leaving the board. This board is such a foundation for the program so I definately learned that lesson as well.

So what about those 9.5 pounds I lost last time? Yep - you guessed it! I am RIGHT back where I started exactly before losing those 9.5 lbs (228 to be exact.) :x

Hi...

I'm new, too. But I'm reminded of Timone on Lion King..."you gotta put your behind in the past...er...I mean...put your past behind ya"

Although I'm loosing (I'm on day 5) I know myself well enough to not get cocky about it. I'm a moment away from totally blowing it...and I've been down this road (Not MF) before. I pray everyday for strength and proceed with faith that God will help me. If I feel tempted...I pray RIGHT THEN...and count to ??? (Pick a number)....just to put a time factor in the mix. If I have a thought of cheating and it's growing in my head and I hear that rebellious voice saying "Who are they to tell you what you can and can't eat?"....or "You can do it...it won't matter this time".....etc (you have your own script playing, I'm sure) I say a prayer that the voice will be gone and dig deeper for a new resolve.

Good luck!

Hi Tiffany,

Welcome back. :)

You can do it this time. Just take it one day at a time, don't let the scale rule you and no more licks and nibbles they are killers, I know since I fell into that pattern for about a week and lost zippo.
Reached Goal Nov 2007 61.5 lbs lost
Gained 11 lbs in Mexico 3/08, decided to lose that along with another 5 lbs!

Welcome back...and good for you for COMING back! I have found (the hard way) that if I just take a minute or two and check in on this forum, even if I don't post anything I just read a post a two, it keeps me clear about what I am up to (or down to I guess would be more accurate). :puter:
