back to the basics

Postby suzyq » January 10th, 2007, 12:03 pm

I have been on and off Medifast for 1.5 years now - I had great success in 2005 (starting in June) and lost 50 pounds. Since then I have been maintaining, even though I never made it to my goal weight (had 20 lbs to go). Now I find myself up a few pounds and determined to lose it and the original remaining 20. I have struggled with getting back on track so I started to look at what I was doing back then. I was posting every day, drinking lots of water (hate that!), and planning every "meal" ahead of time. I never weighed and measured faithfully but I did eyeball everything and stick within the guidelines for my daily meal. I have committed myself to getting back to these basics. So I will join all you re-starters and work to a healthier, thinner new me!

Thanks for "listening"!

Hello my friend :) I too have restarted as of 1/2/07 and hope to get to goal this time. I gained back 24 of the 44 pounds :( but I know I can get it off again...this works I just have to stick to it like I did last time. Pressures of work, moving, family, etc., took its toll on me over the past few months but it is time to take control of getting ME healthy.

It was a pleasant surprise to see your name - it is funny but the last time I saw you I was going to ask if you had lost more weight! You look phenomenal and I can only imagine how you will look WHEN you reach your goal.

Thanks for your encouragement and support and I only hope I can do the same for you now.

Love from your sister in Christ,
Michelle

Welcome back! This program really DOES work ~ I absolutely love it! And I even pre-bag my MF meals for the day (I do it on Sunday and put each day's worth in it's own quart size ziplock). It makes it SO easy!

And if you like zuchinni pie at all, try that recipe -- i doubled it and had enough for 4 days. NEVER before would I have thought I could eat the same food for 4 days in a row and love it, but this program has taught me different!

Tons of great people here for any advice you need!

SuzyQ ~

You have the right idea – it’s following the proven program that leads us to the healthy goal line. It proved successful to you in the beginning and it will be true again this time around. Having the support of others, helps to keep us going during times of difficulty. Challenges are inevitable, what we do when they come along is the key.

Our faith provides us with strength to follow the path before us. He wants us to make healthful eating a habit and to take good care of our body, too.

How about Michelle?

She's already dumped off 24 pounds. Looking to others for success and reassurance can present us with fuel for the future.
