You kids!! It's sure nice to know I'm missed when I'm not around!

I've had a ridiculously busy two weeks! A few highlights include moving into a new condo last week, my mother, sister in law & neice being here over Thanksgiving, my husband passing a kidney stone and being in Tampa all week on business.

I havent had time to post or read at all. Just got my internet hooked up today and checked in tonight to see what I might be missing. Saw where you girls posted in my journal so I thought I better check in!

The 50 lbs club is treating me well. My mom, sister in law and neice couldn't believe how thin I am! NSVs galore! My mom hugged me and said I feel "tiny". My twelve year old neice said the same thing. She helped me pick out some new size 8 jeans at American Eagle while they were here!

The scale hasn't budged much since hitting the 50 lbs club, but I'm fine with that knowing I'm staying compliant.

Christmas is coming way too fast all of a sudden and the hubster and I are leaving on a cruise two weeks from today. We cruised last December departing from the same port (San Juan, PR) and I've got a hideous photo of myself in Old San Juan, so I'm hoping I'll be able to recreate the pose on this trip...only 50 lbs lighter. I'm really feeling good about myself so I'll definitely post some photos when I return from paradise.
I'm defintitely going to need to go read Jo's journal about staying compliant on her cruise. I know it's all about what I want most...cake or thinness....

Good to hear from you girls! I'm going to try to catch up on reading this week. Can't wait to hear what you've all been up to!

Tracy you have been missed!!!

Awful about the kidney stone.....glad your hubby has that behind him and hopefully will not have to deal with another one (tell him to drink lots of water daily to keep himself flushed out and hopefully they will not form).

Good for you on maintaining through these very busy times in your life.

I'm glad you checked in! :)

Hi girls! Thanks for stopping by! We had a great vacation and Christmas/New Years but it's time for me to buckle down and finish this journey I'm on.

I did not stay compliant on the cruise. I think I had more calories in alcohol than actual food. Ate over the holidays and I must admit I've added a few pounds.

This morning my husband found a Reeses Cup wrapper that I had hidden somewhere in the bathroom. I don't even remember where, it was just lying in my sink when I got up this morning. I said "you caught me". That was my wake up call that I really do have an eating addiction. I mean, if I thought it was OK to eat an occassional Reeses Cup, why would I have hidden the wrapper? It's time to get serious and finish what I started. I've already had my 1st RTD of the day and I've got my timer set for #2.

I'm sending Tim/Mike some befores and afters of my 50 lbs. I'm only a few lbs above that now so I'm not changing my ticker until Roll Call on Sunday. If you want a sneek peek at the new me (no fat pictures) you can check out my MySpace page at the www link below. There are tons of photos on there of our vacation.

Hope everyone is doing well. I'm off to catch up!

wow, those pics are great. You can tell that you guys really enjoyed yourselves. What size are you? (if you don't mind me asking) About a 6? You look so tiny (meant in a good way!)

Thanks Katie! Holding a gift in a Christmas photo for my family is kind of like the ceremonial photo with the birthday cake. Ah, family traditions!!

Hey you! I have missed you and your enthusiasm around here. So glad you had a nice vacation.

I can so relate to that addiction. I was off plan for my surgery, but I was supposed to act like I was transitioning or at most on maitainance. NOT - I completely blew it, but the worst part was feeling like I had to sneak everything. Like you said - if it was OK then why sneak. I don't watch Dr Phil much, but today was a very interesting show about resolutions. I decided that mine this year would be to never eat in secret again. If I feel like what I am eating is too embarassing to eat in front of my family then it isn't worth eating.

Blessings to you in 2008!
