Thanks for the kudos Chynna, Lasi, Linda and Queenie! It's you girls along with the other fine folks on here that help keep my head in the game. I really haven't discussed what I'm doing (MF and exercise) with too many other people, so really you guys are the only ones that I'm sharing the day to day triumphs and tribulations with. It's great being part of a group walking the same path as me!

Hey Tracy,

I'm in the same boat as you - besides the people on the forum, only one other person knows I'm doing medifast. I don't know why it's such a secret for me. Actually, I do. I'm ashamed that I even need to do medifast. I don't want to hear other people's doubts about the program and my ability to keep the weight off. How I'm losing weight hasn't come up at all since none of the people I work with have noticed the 50 pounds. I think once I start classes in a couple weeks, people who haven't seen me since May might have something to say. We'll see!

Hope you have a great night :)

Hi Tracey,
Good Morning ! I have found that the less said the better as far as this plan goes...I was on it last summer and lost 40 lbs and gained it all back when the 'stress' monster took over ! Sometimes people think it's so unhealthy for us to do this...I love what you have to say here and I'll talk with you anytime !

Thanks for stopping by my journal and offering support... I really feel this board is so important for all of us to be able to share the hi's and low's...

Have a lovely day !

I hate it when people act like Medifast is some weird fad and that it's just a matter of time before I gain the weight back. That is the way they acted when I was in the hospital. These are people who had seen me 100 pounds heavier and instead of steady congrats (I did receive some), they were really dubious about Medifast. Their trigger word was when I used the word "supplement" and they saw a Cappucccino flavor (no caffeine allowed), They locked up all my Medifast. You're right. I don't need to hear doubts.

Tracy - even my daughters don't know that I am using mf. They know I am working on losing weight but I think they assume I am doing low-carb since that used to be my favorite before. The only person I have confided in is a co-worker (not the snarqy one) and she has listened and yesterday told me I had inspired her enough that she thought she was going to try MF too. I only confided in her because we have discussed various plans during the past year and she remembered I was looking into MF, noticed my weightloss and asked me if it was from MF.

Just stopping by to say Hi and see how you are doing. I see you are doing GREAT!

I have been doing MF for over 4 months and only a handful of people know. When someone notices and asks me what I am doing I just say exercising more and eating less! I don't need to hear people's uninformed opinions since it really isn't any of their business. However, I did tell my girlfriend and she is now going try it "sooner or later"! :D
Reached Goal Nov 2007 61.5 lbs lost
Gained 11 lbs in Mexico 3/08, decided to lose that along with another 5 lbs!

Day 50 of Compliance

Week 7 weigh in. Down 3.4 for the week and 23 lbs overall. I am happy. <img src="http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/4/4_1_203.gif" alt="SmileyCentral.com" border="0"><img border="0" src="http://plugin.smileycentral.com/http%253A%252F%252Fimgfarm%252Ecom%252Fimages%252Fnocache%252Ftr%252Ffw%252Fsmiley%252Fsocial%252Egif%253Fi%253D4%252F4_1_203/image.gif">

Doing excellent on supplements. I feel completely satisfied most of the time and haven't even thought about eating off plan. Not consciously anyway. Tuesday night I had another dream that I mindlessly ate a chocolate chip cookie and ruined my compliance streak.

I haven't exercised for the past five days. I was really busy packing things for storage over the weekend, then movers came on Monday to fill my PODs. Yesterday was a realtor open house, yadda, yadda, yadda. I'm excited to get back on the elliptical today and get back into a routine.

I've been taking progress pics every week even though oddly I did not take an official starting photo. Last night I looked at the progression of pictures and can definitely see a difference. I plan to post progress pics at 30 lbs since that will be my half way point.

I've had the sweet metallic taste the past several days, so I guess that means I'm firmly in ketosis.

Exercise: 300 calories on elliptical, 120 ab crunches

7 Week Progress:
Starting Weight-- 190.6
Week 1--8.8 lbs--181.8
Week 2--1.6 lbs--180.2
Week 3--2.0 lbs--178.2
Week 4--1.6 lbs--176.6
Week 5--3.8 lbs--172.8*
Week 6--1.8 lbs--171.0
Week 7--3.4 lbs--167.6
Average= 3.3 lbs per week
*added exercise
