I never wear turtle necks anyway. With my chubby neck and three chins the whole look just isn't very flattering! Believe it or not, I am actually not looking forward to having to cover up this winter. I have been so pumped about showing off my progress - now I have to wear winter clothes and cover it all up.

Biks, I'm following your lead. The condo we are staying in is on the 4th floor. I'm taking the stairs every chance I get. My husband thought I was nuts the 1st time I headed for the stairs when he pushed the elevator button. Now it's a challenge for me to see if I can make it upstairs before he does after waiting for the elevator.

Way to go Tracy on the stairs! Congrats on the 40 lb. club and the new avatar looks great. Keep on shakin!

Thanks Christy & Donna!

It's funny, some people talk about how they knew Day 1 that they would eventually make it to goal. I'm not sure that's the way I felt in the beginning. It was more of a sense of desperation and I knew I needed to do something, and I HOPED this would work for me. Now the longer I'm on plan I have come to realize that this WILL work for me and I WILL make goal. It's always inspiring to read about other people's success, but isn't it great when we become our own PROOF that a plan works? MF is great!

Thanks Pam! I've leaned on so many people here and in the beginning I never really considered the fact that I could be inspiring someone else along the way. Thanks for saying that!

Not me. I'm wearing minidresses and tights and snug sweaters with jeans.

I'm not giving up turtlenecks. Black turtlenecks for winter are de rigueur.

I love turtlenecks too. I find that all the sweaters I'm buying for the season are pretty close fitting. I've got a good selection of turtlenecks and V necks. Oddly, most of them are black or dark brown...

Jeans and pants are giving me fits right now. I guess this is a good problem to have, but every time I find a pair of great fitting jeans they only stay great fitting for about two weeks. I have a couple of new pairs that I've resorted to washing in hot water and drying forever, but still after about 30 minutes they look like someone moved out of them. Becasue I'm petite I have a hard time finding jeans on the rack, much less on ebay, so a lot of times I'm having to pay close to full price plus pay for alterations. Grrr....

Trace, turtlenecks are a favorite for me too. My neck is so long it helps keep me from looking like a giraffe. ;)

I hear ya on the jeans too. I waited almost too long to try on the smaller size jeans I had been hoarding. I found that some were already slightly big around the waist and definitely too big in the thighs. Since I am not petite, length is my issue if I wash in hot and dry forever. They always seem to shrink in length but not width! Nothing worse than high-water jeans... well, yes, tight jeans are worse!!!

I love your new avatar. You look gorgeous!

Turtlenecks are my winter uniform! I love them. They keep me warm and since my neck is short, they sort of hide the waddle, hehe.

Waddle? Oh sugars! I've got the ugliest neck and I just know people are staring at all the wrinkles (I do when I look in the mirror). Turtlenecks (aka wattleneck cover ups) don't quite hide it all. :?
