I'm baaaaack!!

Postby smartipantz » October 8th, 2008, 6:26 pm

Hi all (and special hugs to all my MF friends),

Yep, it's me. I'm back... and...ummmm... ashamed! For those who remember me, I did sooooo good a couple years go. Actually lost 67 pounds, went from a size 18 to a size 8. Dagnamit!! I'm back up to a size 16 again. No excuses....my own fault. I've been embarrassed to show up here at the forum; especially since I was one of those that met their goal. Guess it just shows that it still takes work after we lose weight. It sucks being heavy.

BUT!! The good news!! I started back on the program September 29th (after a bazillion restarts) and already down 10 pounds. But this time, it's for real. I'm motivated and ready to rid these disgusting pounds.

My sister and I are doing it together, along with a weekly support group she put together. Between the two of us and scale we face every week, we can do it.

Hugs,

Smarti

Heya, Smartie! Hope you're having a good day, etc. Thanks for the words of welcome and encouragement you gave me on my first reply in being back, too. It makes a huge difference having a "home" and a welcome.

Right there with you! Up 22 lbs and so embarassed and mad at myself I can't see straight. :x Today is day one of the 97th (feels like it) restart for me. If I had one thing to say to any newbie out there it would be ONCE YOU GET GOING, DON'T QUIT FOR ANYTHING!!! Not a birthday, anniversary, just one cheat day...NOTHING!!! :dooh: Wish I had actually taken my own advise on that one! I started to not even post until I had some time under my belt this go-round, but I decided what the heck....at least there is some comfort in the fact that I am not alone. Let's do it this time gals! Whatcha think?

Hi All,

Tomorrow will be the end of my 6th week and I've lost a little over 20 pounds - yeah!! No cheats... just motivated to get this darn weight off. Been working out lots which helps with the toning down.

Yesterday had a NSV where I when through the bedroom closet that has all my old, grown out of clothes. I was putting them in piles of sizes - 14s, 12s, 10s, and 8s (yes, I got into 8's the last time around). I decided to try on some jeans in the 14 pile to see just how far away I was. Well - not only did they fit but they fit perfectly (no fat hanging over the waistband!!). Jeez, had I not done that, I would have missed the opportunity to wear the almost brand new jeans I had in that pile.

Hope all are doing well. Staying on program provides fantastic rewards - much better than the instant gratification of a bite of food!!!

Okay, I am back too and if you think you are alone, you aren't. I lost a ton but I allowed life to happen at me and lost my head. Well, I am back and working on basics.

Doesn't matter how long I have been gone or how much I gained back (trying to let that go and stop beating myself). What really matters is that we are here, realize that we need this and help so, I would say that we are totally on the road back.

Be well and take it all one step and shake at a time!
