Anyone else start with less than 40 pounds to lose?

Postby Bailey » September 17th, 2006, 2:07 pm

I have 38 pounds to lose and was wondering about how long it will take. I know everyone is different but I'd like to see how long it took others to lose. I haven't received my food yet I'm hoping I will tomorrow as I'm anxious to get started.

I also suffer with allergies and sinus problems and was wondering if anyone improved in that area since the diet is so healthy.

I have lost this weight so many times and always gain it back, that's the only part that scares me. I'm so tired of working so hard to lose it just to gain it back and then start all over again. I have high blood pressure and would love to get off the medication. Diabetes, HBP, strokes & cancer
run in my family and I really want to avoid those things if possible.

I have been reading the posts for a few days now and everyone is so kind, supportive and encouraging. I look forward to taking this journey with you.

I started with 42# to lose. I am, finally, seeing single digits in week 17.
All bodies are different. Patience is a must. I initally thought about 5 months to lose my weight, looks as if I'm on track for that.
Best wishes-
Amber

I have about #32 to lose, so I am about the same as you. I've lost 11 in 5 weeks, so I have about 20 left to lose. If I can average about the same, it will be about 15 weeks to lose it all. It is a little disappointing when some are losing 4-5 in a week, but I'm lucky if its 2, but I realize all of us are different, so it really just depends on the person.

Hey Bailey,
Also important to note; the less you have to lose, the slower it comes off. Most of those losing 4-5# weekly have more weight to lose than you do.

Thank you all. 3 years ago I lost the same 38 pounds in 7 months. I'm just hoping it's faster this time. I'll see how the first month goes and if I lose at about the same rate as the diet I was on then I can't see spending $275 a month on the packaged foods. Thanks again!
