Anyone dressing for Halloween?

Postby bikipatra » October 22nd, 2007, 1:43 pm

I don't have a party or anything to go to so am just going to get dressed and wiggle down to the nearest Starbucks then swing back home. I have had the wig for years and finally have the body back enough so I am of course dressing as Marilyn. Not a lot of effort. Pop on the wig, put on some red lipstick and black shades, a black spaghetti strap top and a tight skirt. The only problem is I just went to look and none of my pencil skirts are tight anymore. I'll look again-I must have something...

Biki, you know we are going to expect pictures!

When I lived in the suburbs I would dress up as a witch to hand out Halloween candy. It was always so much fun to see the look of surprise on children's faces when I opened the door. :)

Last year we were allowed to dress up for work and I dressed up as the Operation game. Just wore some flesh colored sweats, cut out some styrofoam in the shape of the peices, wore a big pair of tongs on a string as a necklace and also wore a Rudolph nose. Took many people a while to figure it out, but it was easy and got pleanty of laughs.

Stayin home this year and we are out in the country so no one comes trick or treating to our place. The mile long drive way is kind of a deterant.

We found this great "costume" at Walmart. Its a nice orange T-shirt that says "I don't do costumes". That's what I'm wearing.... and its just an XL... that's right... not a 6XL, and not the 2XL that I've been wearing... its an XL.

Joleen's killing herself again! Call an ambulance! Oh, FYI, all my purple has washed out. It was semi-permanent and I decided not to redo it. So no one would recognize you.

I LOVE HER! I am addicted to that show. It makes me want to go to Hawaii AND to meet the Chapman family. I would love to hang out with them, even if for a day. I became a fan while I was out on maternity leave and it was the only halfway decent show on in the wee hours of the morning....

Speaking of I wonder what times it comes on and what channel I will have to ask my mom she has Dog's book and is addicted to him! I love watching how they become so involved in criminals lives and sometimes the criminals change for the better because of the Chapman inspiration!

My usual costume is a T-shirt I got a billion years ago, when the supermarkets all were first coming out with generic products. Ralphs had "plain wrap" (each item would just have an orange or blue stripe across it and then what it was, like "Peanuts" or "Wine" or "Crackers"), and they did a "plain wrap" Halloween costume. It's a T-shirt with the orange "plain wrap" strip that just says "Halloween costume" on the front, and then on the back there's a list of characters and you check off which one you are. I, of course, checked "nudist."

So that, plus my sweat shirt from Mickey's Halloween Haunt at Disneyland in case it's cold, and I'm good to go. I even get to be home that night to hand out candy for the first time in years. Yay for day hours.

My favorite Halloween costume was one I did in college. I just wore an oven mitt on one hand and carried a pen in another. I was Sylvia Plath.
