Oh PLEASE PLEASE invite me to Dallas. I will be going there to do some shopping for the holidays, anyway. Plus, Robin, you can give me some pointers on Hannukah (sp?). My kids are really interested to learn about it, and I know NOTHING about it. I thought we would have a celebration for the Jewish "Christmas" (I am sorry if that is offensive, I don't mean it to be, that is just what I have always considered it in my ignorance of the religion) and have our regular Christian celebration. You would be a GREAT source, and I would love to meet ya'll both in the flesh!

I did a little checking, and the dates listed on the Talledega Speedway site are for October 6-8. Is that around when you'll be down in Birmingham? If so, gimme the deets and I can certainly make plans to meet ya for a L&G!

Yup, that sounds about right! I usually stay on the 280? in Inverness in Birmingham. I'm usually there Wed thru Sunday. That'd be GREAT!

Talked to my Hubby-Unit Paul & we thought it might be nice to drive down together & make a little mini-trip out of it! We get so few of them w/ 4 lil' ones, ya know! ha ha They'll enjoy the extra time w/ Grandma & we'll enjoy an actual "grown people only" meal that doesn't include sippy cups or dishes w/ cartoon animals on them! :lol:

2 of my girls cheer for the county pee-wee football league, so I'm fairly sure we'll have a game that Saturday morning. We figured we could head on down afterwards & maybe meet up for dinner? Our first cheer parent meeting for this season is Thurs. evening, so I'll know for sure then!

Thanks for the response No Cal ers! I should be in town Wed Nite late, so Thur, Fri or Saturday would probably work well for me. Haven't heard if I have wheels yet, but at least I know where I'm staying!

All of those cars and you don't know if you have wheels? Just tell on of the drivers your going to borrow one for a while. So what if they aren't street legal...

hey nor cal'ers...i'm so sorry but i'm not going to be able to make it after all. my grandmother jjust passed away on friday so i have to leave on thur for the funeral and won't be back til sunday evening.

dede, i see that u get in late on Wed, maybe if ur up to it, we can try to get together that night, even if it's for 30 min, lemme know where ur at and i'll come to u. i hate that you'll be right here and i don't get to see you. i'm open cuz my flight doesn't leave until 6am on thurs. hit me up...
