Another water question

Postby MISSANNE » August 9th, 2006, 3:23 pm

Does it matter if I drink the majority of my water right away then basically nothing for the rest of the day?

The water is hard for me, I hate it. I ususally sit and chud for a few minutes to get it down. Is it ok to do this instead of spaced throughout the day? I figured as long as I'm drinking at least 64 ounces, should it matter if it's all between 9-10am?

I don't know the answer but my bladder hurts just thinking of drinking 64 oz in on sitting. I'd be doing the pee-pee dance

I am so with you Missanne - HATE water unless it's flavored and/or carbonated. I admit I tend to drink ALL my water with those little iced-tea to go packets added or bottled flavored sparkling water - it's either that or NO water for me. I'm still working on it....

I doubt that it's a problem, but I am definitely not the definitive responder here. Maybe Nancy will stop by and clarify.

Obviously its best to space the water out because the idea is to hydrate and cleanse, but as long as you don't go too awfully long between intakes you should be fine.

Try Propel fitness water. It's tasty and has about 10 calories per serving. You could even water it down a little. It has just a bit of taste and that could make you drink more of it. You could also add some of the SF syrups (Davinci or Torani) to your water. I love the Black Cherry.

I've actually been urged not to drink this much.
Propel, which I love, I have found to be too high in calories to have more than one bottle a day. A serving is 8 oz, so a 16 oz bottle is 20 calories, and those big ones have 30 calories. These would actually be considered a snack more than a water substitute.
I love my Propel, but I was drinking like 3 bottles a day, and decided to only have a max of one if any each day.
I go with Tropicana Sugarfree Orangeade (5 calories in a can). If you want lower, try the Crystal light or another lower to no calorie alternative.

I have posted this info before but thought I would bring it up again. Water Sensations have made it so easy for me to get all my water in everyday!

**********************************************

I just found the most wonderful thing at my local Target Store....

Water Sensations - Clear Liquid Flavor Enhancer for Water

They are little packets to flavor 16 oz. of water. They come 16 packets to a box for $3.99 ($.25 a package). Flavors are: Grape, Lemon, Strawberry-Kiwi, Mixed Berry, Orange and Peach. They were right next to the Crystal Light on the Go Packets.

They don't add as much flavor as Crystal Light, more like the purchased flavored waters (but not as expensive). Just a hint of flavor to take the edge off the water. I absolutely love the Grape!! If you can't find them in your local stores, they do have a website. Do a Google search for Water Sensations.

I'm drinking more water than ever now!!!

I was wondering the same. I already had 11 glasses of water today. Can I stop now?
