another question

Postby upheldwill » February 22nd, 2006, 6:00 pm

I went over in my meat at dinner and I was wondering if I should still have the two supplements I have left today or should I eliminate one?
Thanks in advance for help.

The supliments are a carefully balanced and if you skip them you run a risk of lack of nutrician as well as slower weightloss. Thats my 2 cents Ron

Dont do it!!! :x

Hey, Michelle-

Never skip the supplements, like Ron said. Just continue as normal, and everything will be fine.

But, here's the more important part. You have to figure out why you went over on your meat portion. I am not saying that because it's the end of the world (hardly!), but because while you're on MF, you should take the opportunity to learn about what makes you tick when it comes to food. Was it an accident? Were you just so hungry you couldn't control yourself? Were you not able to measure it, and just went for it? Did you "talk yourself into it," saying you've been so good, you can treat yourself just this time? These are just a few of the many many reasons we make food choices, and you really have to make a point to be self-aware. I PROMISE it will help you in the long run...

Like it or hate it, I think I've become the "tough love" person on the forum. I absolutely want everyone here to be happy, healthy, successful, and proud of themselves - and to achieve their weight loss goals (as I want to, as well). The only way WE CAN ALL find this success is if we spend the time and energy figuring out what got us here in the first place, and try to make the changes necessary.

Sorry for the long-winded response - this was a more general thought than specific to you, Michelle, but we want to have you put your best foot forward and kick butt!

Keep rockin'!

:bravo: That is SO true!!!!!!! I try to take a little time each day to examine my foody feelings :) I want to face up to my issues. This way, when I get to transition and maintenance, I'll have the correct mindset and freedom to live my life free from food addictions. Good post Lauren!!

Lauren

Personally I welcome your little tough love posts. It is so easy to talk yourself into one excuse or another and somehow justify a little of this and a little of that, or oh one bite wont hurt. Hard reality is needed sometimes.

So Thanks
Aphrael

Lauren,

I agree with Aphrael.

I think we all have different "support personalities," or ways of giving support to one another, and that is what makes this site so successful. I do like/need/enjoy the cheerleader type support that seems to be most popular on this site, but every now and then we all need a good kick in the pants to get us back on track.

From one tough-lover to another...thanks.

Well, I don't know what got the rest of you here, but my problem was the little elves that were sneaking into the house at night and shoving food down my throat while I was sleeping. I have since installed elf-proof doors and windows, along with an elf-alarm. Shouldn't be a problem any more.

(Just kidding)
