Another big life change....

Postby Jeanette » June 28th, 2004, 12:25 pm

As if divorce wasn't big enough!

I have accepted a position with a new company that is 1000 miles away from where I am now. It is a wonderful opportunity to work in an industry I have always been passionate about.

In about six weeks, I will be leaving everything and everyone I have ever known to go to "uncharted territory." But you know--I AM READY for this change.

How does this all relate to Medifast? Well, if it weren't for Medifast, I wouldn't have lost 75 lbs, which has given me the courage to change the things in my life needed changing. It's funny--first I started changing INSIDE, then started changing OUTSIDE, then started to have more changes INSIDE as well.

How far can I go? With Medifast, I can go all the way!!! :)

You sound great!!
Congrats on the job. Moving is hard I know coming from NYC to San Francisco but sometimes these offers come at the exact time we need them. BTW- I'll bite where is 1000 miles from you exactly??

Good for you Jeanette!

I've always said that when I look back on my life, I'd rather have regrets about things I've done than about things I didn't do but wished I had. Congrats for having the courage to take such a bold step!

Good luck on your new adventure and you know that no matter where you go you will always have this board.

Florida? WOW... I think I read recently they did get flushing toilets, and color TV in the F-L-A?!?! You told me you guys in Indy, just got indoor plumbing, right?

Welcome to California, oops. Florida! At least you have Daytona (That's Nascar) to look forward to!

UGH....you forget that Indianapolis is the Racing Capitol of the World!! I can see three kinds of racing here in good ol' Indy (where we do, in fact, have flushing toilets, smarty pants Mike!)

OOhh Jeanette. My favorite city in the whole wide world. Go there at least once a year and sometimes twice. Going the week of July 20 to take my son, his best friend and my grandmother to Universal. Eclectic age mix to say the least 9yo, 11yo, 37yo and a 75yo...

God never closes one door without opening another one. It's just that sometimes the hallway is rather long, difficult, and scarey.

Congratulations for making it down that hallway, Jeanette! And, best of luck in your new job.

Hi Jeanette,

Congratuations!!! Florida is a good place to live and work. I lived there for 8 years before I relocated to ATL for a job. I am moving back in September and cant wait especially since its a state that has no state taxes :)
