I just realized that I never posted measurements or info about myself so here goes:
I'm 30yrs old, I am 5'11, I have 4 kids (14,11,7,5)

my measurements:
Chest under the girls 36 1/2"
Chest over the girls 44"
Upper waist (2" above belly button) 40"
Mid waist (on belly button) 41 1/2"
Lower waist (2" below belly button) 44 1/2"
hips 44 3/4"
upper thigh 25"
calf 14"
Upper arms 13 1/4"
Neck 14"

So you can see my weight is where the babies were. I was a bean pole before pregnancies and have only gained weight for the pregnancies but just cant get rid of it now.

I have had many surgeries that cut through the abdomen area too, and that cant be helping any.

And yes most of my water is plain and I do use 1-2 crystal light on top of that. But I'm curious why crystal light wouldnt count if its added to my bottled water? ya know the lil packets. I very rarely drink diet soda too.

One thing I noticed is that you are not getting in your first meal within an hour of waking. That is important.

As for your question on the Crystal Light, it has an artificial sweetener in it, which our bodies can/will metabolize as sugar, as well as other "stuff". The role of plain old water is to cleanse the body of the "stuff" the fat cells are releasing. Only water can cleanse you of those toxins. Trust me - I am one of the worst when it comes to water! I struggle every day to get in my required amount.

Another thing to double check is that you are following the quick start guide's information on veggies and meats. I had a client that thought since peas were green, that they were allowed on the program - which is not correct - they are high in carbs and are not allowed until transition.

The ads all say "results may vary" for a logical reason. I lost very quickly in the beginning then leveled out while my older sister was very slow to get started, but has caught up with me. You should be close to be able to start adding exercise to your plan, that will help too. Also, you may want to consider trying the Infusers or the product with the "boost" in it.

Hi AQ! Nice to meet'cha!

As everyone else alluded to - "normal" is a subjective term; it's different for everyone. The trick is finding what works for you. Rodeo made a very good point about having your first supplement within one hour of waking up, and this has to do with setting your metabolism for the day. Every little bit helps, eh? Another point I wanted to make is in reference to what I quoted from your previous message about muscle mass. I, too, have a great deal of muscle mass and have found that the 70 shakes work MUCH better for me than do the 55 shakes. More muscle, more protein... again, every little bit helps!

It's really great to see you asking questions and not just trying to wing it on your own. There is a great deal of experience on these boards, and I think you've already seen how beneficial it is to tap into that!

Hasta!

Well its a new day and................. I finally am loosing again, not just an oz a day! I changed up a few things in my schedule and I'm feeling pretty good again. I chugged most of my water in the first half of the day so my bladder didnt keep me up all night and I GOT SOME SLEEP! I changed my bar from my 2nd to my 3rd meal of the day and that helped with the sluggish feelings I get at that time of day. I have officially met my mini goal of 7lbs plus a couple oz, so I have gone from 227 to 219.6 which is a 1lb loss overnight and it is enough to get me excited again. I had never planned on throwing in the towel but for a bit there it was waving in front of me! I'm really hopin to get into my first club at roll call this week but if I dont I wont despair. My next mini goal is just to get to 215 that is what I was right after my Kidney surgery and havent seen it in about 4yrs. I told my husband that when (not if) I get there I am gonna go spend some time in a tanning bed! I love tanning but we just moved out to the boonies last summer so I have to make a drive to go, but they say a good tan makes you look 10 pound thinner and with MF I WILL BE 10 POUNDS THINNER :cheermed:

I am so happy to see that you reached that mini goal. You are wise to set those small goals to keep you on track. It is always good to have long term goals, but if we only have those it can get very depressing and discouraging!

Congratulations!!! Keep it up and you will have that club membership in no time!!!

see? it always picks up again when we give it a chance!!! I'm glad things have turned around for you because i know how discouraging it can be when things slow so drastically after we are used to seeing bigger numbers. :D The plan is different for everyone and it's always good to see what others are going thru (i.e., hunger levels, daily losses, water levels, etc). Although we can't always compare, it makes it easier to see what "adjustments" others have had to make (like switching meals around) to see what could possibly work for us. Nothing wrong with having to "tweak it". You will be in that 10# club before you know it lady~ here's hoping for Sunday!! Good for you! :cheermed:

Yesturday I must of really been in the zone after getting in some sleep cuz I started out just vaccuming (sp) and it turned into spring cleaning non-stop for about 9hrs :weightlift: I was washin windows, mopping, dusting (done once a year maybe :-P ) and finally I fall asleep at night and my 7 yr old woke up with another nightmare and so the rest of the night was restless. I did stay absolutely compliant and I dont think I have ever drank that much water before in 1 day lol. But consiquently I woke up incredibly sore and the scale fluctuated up 1lb, but then I just took a short nap and weighed in again before takin a shower and it fluctuated to under a 1lb gain, so I guess I should stay in bed all day and I will loose it  Anyway I am sure it will show in a good way come weigh in on Sunday. I'm going on 2wks without a single cheat of anykind, The food part of this plan has been amazingly easy for me, the only hard part is making 1 dinner for my family and 1 for myself (my hubby dont like chicken and fish)

I was very amazed at the boost of energy I got after being on MF for a couple of weeks. You really sound like you are totally in the MediZone and doing well. Try not to do too much extra activity than you would normally do until you hit that 4 - 5 week mark that is recommended by MF. Otherwise you might shock your body and it will start holding on to the reserves and we don't want that do we?

I am proud of you!! Thank you for your enthusiasm, your energy and your stick-to-it attitude. Your posts are refreshing and helpful even to this old timer!

Thanks guys! Well I had a great NSV yesturday...... took my 14yr son and his girl friends (1 girlfriend but a sister that goes everywhere she does so he pretty much has 2 of em lol) to the mall went to my newest fav store Maurices, I just started going there in Dec., well in Dec I was in there buying a dress for a Christmas party and I go once a month since then to hit the clearance racks. I found this totally rockin one armed asemetrical (sp) top that apperantly I am only the 3rd person to buy one from the store cuz it doesnt look good on anybody trying them on, what a compliment! and it turns out one of the store associates that I trust to help me pick clothes is on a program very much the same as MF! But what rocks even more is I have been wearing a size 18W and I just bought capries in a straight 16 :bouncie: So even if the scale is sometimes being stubborn its feeling great walkin into the dressing room and knowing that I can fit into the trendy clothes meant for someone my age. Maybe after I get my tan (my reward when I hit 215, only 2lbs to go) I will post a pic and show off the new shirt!

I just couldnt wait, so I was able to knock on the 10# door today and did! MF is going great but the last couple days have been incredibly stressful, ugh. I work for a big Auto Salvage company and post many of there parts on Ebay (this is my job, I at least get to work from home most of the time, just a small perk) but lately I have gotten all the crazy people sending me emails (in regards to the items I sell) and one of them even sent me an expletive filled one yesturday :aarggh: brings me down and makes me want to quit. My husband also works at this Auto Salvage company and the employers are really great so I dont want to screw this up, it just seems impossible sometimes. :wallwall: On top of that my lil one (5yr) is sick and I had to keep her home yesturday to get through the worst and today my 11yr tried to stay home sick too (he wasnt). But enough of my venting..... gotta get back to work :whip:
